Robomando is more of a love letter than an overpowered hidden character, but players will need to unlock him in order to truly complete the game.

It takes quite a few steps in a specific order to grab thesecret Risk of Rain Returns character. How to Get Robomando in Risk of Rain Returns
It’ll take a while before players can unlock Robomando. The full list of steps is as follows, with a more detailed guide on how to accomplish each down below.
First, players need toreach the Temple of the Elderson Drizzle difficulty to get the Strange Battery, an Equipment item hidden on the far left side of the map. Players must climb to the top of the temple anddrop down the left wallto reach a ledge with a pot. Interact with the pot to get the Strange Battery.
Next, finish the map as per usual, then enter the final stage. Grab akeycard, then open the door to theCabinlocated in the bottom-right of the ship’s middle section. Go through the hole in the wall and drop down the ledge to find theGolem Party Easter egg. Jump through the little indent on the wall to the left, then get to theEquipment Boxwaiting on one of the platforms. After this, either finish the run or die to a monster.
Start a new run on eitherRainstorm or Monsoon difficulty. It may be best to turn theDamage Taken multiplierto 10% just to make things easier.Some artifacts like Commandand Glass will also make this part of the unlock process less troublesome.
Players can continue normally all the way to the third stage and should complete the teleporter event as soon as possible. Once the teleporter stops charging, monsters will stop spawning, and all players need to do iswait until the run timer hits 22:00. As soon as the clock hits that time, players should teleport to the next stage.
Next, search the map for an underground area to find Robomando. There will be a big green arrow above his head, similar to the ones found on drones. Interact with Robomandobut do not kill him; players shouldlet Robomando kill them instead. Once the run is over, Robomando will be unlocked as a new playable character.
