Japanese dance troupe Monster Hunter Dancers were so impressed with howApex Legendshandles character selection that they opted to pay their own form of homage. In the two and a half minute video uploaded on the group’s official YouTube channel, the first 30 seconds are dedicated to getting the intros just right. Once the character selection process is out of the way, the crew do what they do best and break into dance. To cap off the video, Monster Hunter Dancers show a bit of the behind the scenes fun in making it all come to life.

The characters chosen for the team-based “Dance Royale” are Pathfinder, Octane, and Wraith. These introductions are not just the quick character animation, but the entire process for starting up a round ofdeveloper Respawn Entertainment’s successful Battle Royale game. This includes the confirmation time as the dancers pause in position after the initial animation is done. It makes what would have been a cute little video into something that demonstrates a genuine love for the game.
Since Monster Hunter Dancers are from Japan, they opt to use their localized versions of the character intros. This means that theApex Legends' English voice actorslike Fryda Wolf, Johnny Young, and Nicolas Roye don’t have the luck of having their voices dubbed over the stylish recreations. While this may be a bit a disappointment for Western fans, the Japanese voice cast definitely capture the personalities that players are familiar with.
This new video from Monster Hunter Dancers comes just after the launch ofApex LegendsSeason 8 which has seen a big shakeup to the title. Despite it just being days since the Season 8 update hit all versions of the game, fans are already trying tofigure out the newApex Legendstier list. It will take time before players fully grasp the changes to the characters and how they will play as the season progresses.
What many players are most focused on is the introduction of new character Fuse. Should his popularity grow, he may be the next character selected by Monster Hunter Dancers to join in on the team based dance battles.
