Jump Forcedidn’t exactly light the world on fire when it launched in 2019, but the game still has its fans. It’s hard to deny the appeal of being able to have some of the biggest characters in anime history duking it out, and nowJump Force’s already impressive roster is set to grow even further. Bandai Namco Entertainment has officially announced theJump ForceCharacters Pass 2, which will add five new characters to the game from a variety of anime.

The first new character coming toJump Forceas part of Characters Pass 2 is none other that Shoto Todoroki, the ice/fire-wielding hero ofMy Hero Academiafame. Todoroki’s addition to theJump Forceroster increases theMy Hero Academiarepresentation in the game to four characters, as Izuku “Deku” Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, andAll Mightare already available forJump Forcefans.

As for the other fourJump ForceDLC charactersthat are coming in Characters Pass 2, they have yet to be revealed. However, we do know what animes they will be from.Jump Forcefans can expect new characters fromHunter X Hunter,Yu Yu Hakusho,Bleach, andJoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, possibly even in that order. Fans can expect additional information on these mystery characters later this year.

In the meantime, it’s unclear exactly when Shoto Todoroki will be coming toJump Force, as no specific release date has been announced byBandai Namcoat the time of this writing. However, we do know that the Characters Pass 2 will retail for $17.99 once it becomes available.

WhenJump Forcelaunched, it only hadIzuku Midoriya as the soleMy Hero Academiarepresentationon the roster. However, withMy Hero Academiaexploding in popularity and becoming one of the top anime series in the world right now, it’s no surprise to see more characters from the show added to the game. In future, it’s possible even moreMy Hero Academiacharacters will be added, and it’s also quite likely that there will be moreMy Hero Academia-specific video games.

In fact,My Hero: One’s Justice 2just recently launched, giving fans aMy Hero Academiafighting game comprised entirely of characters from the hit anime/manga series. It seems as thoughMy Hero Academiawill only grow in popularity moving forward.

Jump Forceis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Nintendo Switch version launching later in 2020.
