Given that the witch is immortal, strong, fast, can fly, teleport, and turn invisible, among a host of other magical effects, it’s appropriate to remind readers just how overpowered the character is and how she got that way.

If Seiya or the light novel took themselves seriously, the entire project would be ruined, but instead, Seiya’s absurd devotion to caution is played for laughs, and the book is great as a result.
