Mario Kart 8 Deluxewill release the Booster Course Pass Wave 4 DLC on March 9. Duringlast month’s Nintendo Direct, it confirmed that Booster Course Pass Wave 9 would be added in Spring, but now fans have the official date to mark on their calendars.

TheBooster Course Pass Wave 4 DLC forMario Kart 8 Deluxewill add eight more courses to the game, much like the other DLC waves that have been added. This includes a set of new courses that are brand-new in design, with others being ports from older titles likeMario Kart: Double Dashfrom the Nintendo GameCube orMario Kart DS. Fans got their first look at one of these original courses during the February 2023 Direct in the form of a new course based on Yoshi’s Island. The rest of the courses have been revealed in a new trailer.

These racetracks will be a part of the Fruit and Boomerang Cups, and will be added on March 9, just a day before MAR10 day, appropriately enough. Aside from Yoshi’s Island, the other seven tracks for Wave 4 all originate from past games in the series, including theMario Kart Tourmobile game. These tracks ported fromTourinclude Amsterdam Drift, Bangkok Rush, and Singapore Speedway. Then there’s Riverside Park, DK Summit, Waluigi Stadium, and Mario Circuit, which come fromMario Kart: Super Circuit,Wii,Double Dash, andDSrespectively.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 4 Tracks

Booster Course Pass Wave 4 will also add another playable character, Birdo, making her first playable appearance on a mainlineMario Karttitle sinceMario Kart: Wii. This iteration of Birdo is part of the medium weight class, with the player being able to choose from her standard pink color and a variety of other colors, including green and orange. Birdo’s appearance should make her fans very happy, as she is also the first new character to debut as part of the Deluxe Booster Pass.

Nintendo plans to supportMario Kart 8 Deluxewell throughout 2023, as evidenced by this DLC adding 48 tracks in total. The pass is currently available to purchase digitally for $24.99, and it’s also bundled in with the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack.
