Spider-Man is one of fiction’s most influential and popular characters, and that has been reinforced with Peter Parker’s latest iteration in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The character was teased as an early incentive to purchaseMarvel’s Avengerson PlayStation before launch, and it took over a year for the wall-crawler to finally release on PS4 and PS5.
Now that he is available as one of 10 playable characters,Spider-Man’s gameplay inMarvel’s Avengershas been assessed with regard to how unique he is apart from his other Avengers counterparts. Spider-Man’s luster has seemingly paled lately as fans await news for future content, but in the meantime they can anticipate a new MCU skin to be added for the web-slinger.

Spider-Man’s iconic red-and-blue suit fromSpider-Man: Homecomingwill officially be available for purchase in theMarvel’s AvengersMarketplace tomorrow, February 24. The suit first appeared inCaptain America: Civil War, where Tom Holland’s Spider-Man also makes his first appearance. Tony Stark designs the suit with many technological advancements and a built-in assistance AI that Peter names Karen, but Peter’s character development insists that he must understand the responsibility that comes with his amazing powers.
This MCU skin accompanies Spider-Man’s red-and-black Upgraded Suit fromSpider-Man: Far From Homeas thesecond MCU outfit of his inMarvel’s Avengers. Of course, because the character is only available exclusively on PS4 and PS5, not all players will have access to it. One platform having the sole exclusivity for a whole character is substantial, and future MCU cosmetics will continue to remind players of the deficit that other platforms have when it comes toMarvel’s Avengers.
Spider-Man has technically had 7 different suits in the MCU across each of his appearances, including the vaguely discernible suit he is seen tumbling and swinging in at the end ofSpider-Man: No Way Home. There is a high probability that fans will see each of these suitsadapted intoMarvel’s AvengersMCU skins in the future, depending on how long its development continues. What fans do know is that cosmetic skins from the MCU are a popular source of entertainment for players and will continue to release on a consistent basis.
Patch 2.2.4 is now live forMarvel’s Avengers, and March will see a host of structural changes follow it with Patch 2.3. With any luck, players will also hear more about a 2022 roadmap that could lay out content over the summer.
Marvel’s Avengersis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
