On tougher difficulties, it’s not possible to beatMarvel’s Midnight Sunswithout relying heavily on heroism to wipe out seemingly endless tides of reinforcements and bosses with almost immovable health bars. Players will need to build up Heroism to take care of these moments.
Generating Heroism
To get more Heroism, players will need to use cards that generate it. To check which cards do this, look at the lower lefthand corner of a card. If there is a positive number there, the card will give the player that much Heroism to use.
These types ofcards can be unlockedwith Gamma Coils from the missions at the Mirror Table. It’s always wise to have several of these types of cards in the deck and only a few heavy-hitting cards that use Heroism, that way players have a net positive gain in most rounds and then spend it all when a boss or tough wave shows up.

It’s important to note that Heroism lasts in between rounds and does not reset back to zero until the entire mission is over. Keep building it up gradually. Whenediting each hero’s deck, give the characters at least one or two cards that spend Heroism. They’ll come in handy at the most critical moments, even without round-to-round usage.
Different cards add Heroism in varying amounts. While it can be tempting to load the deck with huge gainers, these skills almost always deal no damage and have little impact on the fight. It’s all about balance; find cards that can deal with the immediate situation well enough while still generating a bit of Heroism in every round.
