Fans of theBorderlandsfranchise are in for a treat thanks to an impressive new SHiFT code revealed on stage at PAX West. Whether players are still chipping away at the classicBorderlands 2or are playingTiny Tina’s Wonderlands, the SHiFT code has something for everyBorderlandsplayer.
Touted by Randy Pitchford as “the mother of all SHiFT codes,” this new code is certainly a step up from the usual codes that offer only one or a small handful of keys for a particularBorderlandsgame. The SHiFT code in question is:5H533-9XT3T-FXWFZ-RJTTB-6FXKJand it rewards 10 Golden Keys forBorderlands 2, 10 Golden Keys and 1 Diamond Key forBorderlands 3, and 10 Skeleton Keys for Tiny TIna’s Wonderlands. The SHiFT code can be redeemed once per game per platform, meaning players can re-use the code if they ownBorderlands 3on Steam and Xbox One, for example.

The process for redeeming SHiFT codes is fairly straightforward. Players can either enter the codes in-game through the SHiFT menu or log in to their SHiFT account and visit the SHiFT rewards page. Simply copy and paste the SHiFT code provided above into the field, choose aplatform such as Epic Games, Steam, or PSN, then redeem the code for the chosen game and platform. This process needs to be repeated for every game and platform, so players who own multipleBorderlandsgames on multiple platforms should be sure to re-enter the code and redeem it for each instance.
Once the SHiFT codes have been successfully redeemed, players will find the new keys in their in-game mailbox, found in the Social tab on the pause menu. InBorderlands 2, Golden Keys are used on the Golden Chest located in Sanctuary and can award Purple quality equipment, but not Pearlescent or Legendary. InBorderlands 3, the Golden Keys can be spent aboard Sanctuary III, where it’s possible to get Legendary (Orange) quality gear. The Diamond Key can be redeemedin the Diamond Armorybeneath the lower decks, which lets players enter a room full of loot where they can choose one item before the timer expires. Skeleton Keys are redeemed at Brighthoof inTiny Tina’s Wonderlands.
Usually, SHiFT codes are given an expiration date of around one week after their reveal, although no date has been provided for this code. The code has been tested at the time of writing and is confirmed to be working, but it’s uncertain how long it will last. Players should redeem the code as soon as possible for a chance at some of thebest loot inBorderlands.
