After an eventful 2022, popularTwitchstreamer Mizkif almost started out the new year with a trip to the hospital after a weightlifting accident. In a scary clip from a recent broadcast, thecontroversial Twitch streamernearly faced a serious injury.

Recently, there have been some shockinginjuries captured live on Twitch. With these types of jaw-dropping incidents, many viewers are left to look on helplessly while they see an injury occur live on their screens, just like the shock of seeing an injury happen during a live sports broadcast. Since Twitch has a reputation for gaming streams, many would assume that this type of platform is not somewhere one should worry about seeing someone almost be harmed. However, due to the rising trend in weightlifting streams, some streamers known for their gaming are branching out into trying different live content.

Unfortunately, Mizkif’s venture into streaming his weightlifting routine almost took a nasty turn when a large weight almost crushed his chest. While attempting a 315-pound bench press, everything starts off fine with theTwitchstreamer successfully getting in one rep. Despite the successful first rep, Mizkif tries to attempt a second one which slips from his hands and falls right onto his stomach. The discomfort can be seen on Mizkif’s face as the bar presses deep into his upper abdomen.

Even though Mizkif was able to pull off the first rep, his arms were shaking from the start, so attempting a second rep was probably not the best idea. Thankfully, a friend spotting Mizkif was able to quickly lift the weight off the streamer and place it back on the racks. AfterMizkif recently announced less streamingsince his return to the platform, many viewers who tuned in may have feared for a brief moment that this would be his last stream ever. Although the clip is brief, it’s alarming to watch due to how fast everything goes wrong.

There aremany differing opinions on Mizkif, but seeing anyone almost be crushed by a weight on a live broadcast is a stressful thing to witness. Not only is this clip a good example of how quickly things can go wrong in the gym, but it also highlights the importance of knowing when to stop during an exercise. Mizkif could have been wanting to do more reps as a way to impress viewers, but hopefully, that isn’t the case. When it comes to weightlifting, safety is very important.
