Call of Duty: Modern Warfarehas officially launched, but unfortunately, some players are already experiencing issues with the title.
Multiple players are reporting an inability to log in toCall of Duty: Modern Warfare. Activision Support has already acknowledged the issue, and is working on it, but apparently doesn’t have a fix as of yet.

It’s unclear what exactly is causing this problem. Some players simply have an inability to log in, which is likely due to an abundance of server traffic. However, others have claimed that the game is producing disc error messages when attempting to play a purely digital copy.Xbox OneCoD: Modern Warfareplayers are also allegedly seeing crashes. Activision Support has already acknowledged the problems and claims that some players have been able to log in. According to Activision, those who are logged in shouldn’t have any connection difficulties. However, this leaves gamers in the difficult situation where if they need to log out, they may not be able to log back in.
It’s unfortunate that this problem is happening at launch, though not entirely unexpected. Many games suffer problems like this on launch day due to the huge amount of players that are trying to log in all at once. However, given the long-standing popularity ofCall of Duty, one would think that Activision would have been ready for a launch-day server crush. This should be especially true, sinceCoD: Modern Warfarebroke its street dateand could allegedly be played with friends prior to launch. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Thankfully, gamers should have plenty to enjoy once they can successfully log in to the game. Burger King recently teased thereturn of the Burger Town map toCall of Duty, and the game has also received praise for its lack of loot boxes in favor of a battle pass. Unfortunately forRussianCoDplayers, they may not be able to playCall of Duty: Modern Warfaredigitally on the PS4. With any luck, though, this will be the last of the issues facing Modern Warfare players and the game itself will be worth waiting for.
