The highly-anticipated release of Capcom’sMonster Hunter Riseis just around the corner. With the launch being only a few months away, the team has been going in-depth with the details, sharingnew concept art of theMH Rise’s NPCson their social media accounts. Now, Capcom has shared more concept art that features two important characters that hunters will often interact with as they go through the game.
Most fans of theMonster Hunterseries seem to have fond memories of NPCs from each game’s main village or hub. With some of theseNPCs being touted as the best video game characters, fans are always on the lookout for more information about them, even if it is something as simple as a static image.

In two separate Twitter posts, theMonster Hunter Riseteam posted new images of the Arena Quest Master Utsushi, and the Buddy Handler Iori. Each of these NPCs have very different roles from each other, but veteran hunters are likely to know that they will have many interactions with them as they progress through the story.
According to the game’s official site, Master Utsushi will be managing the Arena Quests in Kamura Village’s Gathering Hub. He is seen wearing ninja-type armor, with some parts that are strangelyreminiscent of the Fanged Wyvern, Zinogre. Arena Quests are known for being very challenging, as they require players to complete the quest with only two hunters and pre-set weapons and armor.
On the other hand, Buddy Handler Iori is a young boy that takes care of the village’s Felynes and Canynes. WithMonster Hunter RisePalamutesbeing a new feature in the game, hunters will most likely talk with Iori many times as he is mainly responsible for letting you hire Palicoes and Palamutes in the game.
So far, the only remaining NPCsMonster Hunter Risehas not shared concept art for are the Felyne Chief, Kogarashi, and the Trader, Rondine. Hopefully the devs have their concept art slated for posting so fans can learn more about each ofKamura Village’s residents.
Monster Hunter Risewill be released on Jul 04, 2025 for the Nintendo Switch.
