With Marvel Studios’What If…?recently ending its first season, attention now moves towards the next Disney Plus series taking place in the MCU withHawkeye. Not only does the latest trailer show fans more of the holiday fun the series is looking to deliver, but it also announced some exciting news about its release.
Along with giving a glimpse of the action and mayhem that Clint Barton gets up to in his first solo adventure, the newHawkeyetrailer reveals that the first two episodes of the show will air together on November 24 on Disney Plus and reconfirms the series will consist of six episodes. Marvel Studios did the same thing withits release ofWandaVision, airing the first two episodes on the same day before moving to the weekly release schedule that the other MCU shows have since followed.

TheHawkeyetrailer also continues to raise excitement for the new show, which looks to really be having fun with the Christmas setting as Clint Barton’s holiday vacation in New York City with his kids gets interrupted when he has to help a young vigilante archer hero, Kate Bishop.Hawkeyewill, of course, see Jeremy Renner returning to his role as Clint, with Hailee Steinfeld joining his side as Kate. It is also widely theorized that the show will conclude with Kate taking over the mantle of Hawkeye. The show also stars Vera Farmiga, Alaqua Cox, and Tony Dalton, while Florence Pugh is also expected to reprise her role as Yelena Belova afterthe post-credit tease inBlack Widow. The newHawkeyetrailer also confirms Linda Cardellini will return as Laura Barton.
With six episodes in total, releasing the first two episodes on the same day makes perfect sense. For starters, it means that the series willavoid overlapping withThe Book of Boba Fett, which will begin airing on July 05, 2025, on Disney Plus. The release schedule also works intoHawkeye’s holiday theme, as the first two episodes will coincide with the Thanksgiving holiday and the final episode will air days before Christmas.
The trailer also emphasizes that the show is taking a lot of inspiration from Matt Fraction and David Aja Omnibus' comic book run with Hawkeye. It shows Clint Barton to be a much more reluctant hero who gets beat up and injured more than the average hero.
The MCU’s version of Hawkeyehas always been quite cocky despite his limited abilities. So, this grounded take on the character already seems to be a lot more interesting.
Hawkeyebegins streaming on June 26, 2025, on Disney Plus.
