Summary

Nickelodeon has a long history of producing video games that celebrate its most popular cartoons. Whether it’s the litany ofSpongeBob SquarePantsgamesthat have been released over the years or theNickelodeon Kart Racersseries that brings together properties likeRugratsandDanny Phantom, there’s been no shortage of ways for fans to play as their favorite cartoon characters.Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2is continuing that legacy with a platform fighter that builds on the foundations of the first game, featuring many returning faces and welcome additions like Squidward Tentacles.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2looks to be an improvement on the first in almost every way. Graphics and animations are being overhauled, voice acting and skins will be available at launch, and as previously mentioned there will be new characters to fight with. While additions like Jimmy Neutron do well to diversify the represented cartoons inNickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, there’s still one character who has seemingly been forgotten. Given their history with the Nickelodeon brand, it’s an unfortunate oversight that will hopefully be corrected by the timeNASB2hits store shelves and digital marketplaces.

Timmy Turner Is Still Missing From Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2is bringing back just about everyone from the first game, including alumni from cartoons likeMy Life as a Teenage RobotandTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. One cartoon that wasn’t represented inNASB, however, wasThe Fairly OddParents, one of the longest-running cartoons in Nickelodeon history. The series' star, Timmy Turner, never made an appearance, and developer Ludosity doesn’t appear to be showing any haste in including him inNASB2. It’s something that could be rectified before launch, but for now, it feels like a major oversight.

While shows likeThe Loud HouseandInvader Zimare worthy inclusions, glossing overThe Fairly OddParentsseems like a major oversight. Many of thecartoons represented inNASB2haven’t aired in many years; meanwhile,The Fairly OddParentshad its last season several years ago in 2017. Timmy Turner is undeniably recognizable, as are his fairies Cosmo and Wanda, so it’s a mystery as to why Ludosity has dragged its feet when it comes to adding him. There’s certainly no shortage of gameplay opportunities with Timmy Turner as well, adding to the confusion of his absence.

How Timmy Turner Could Work In Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2

Timmy Turner has strong potential as a fighter inNickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, and it’s all thanks to his two trusted fairies. Cosmo and Wanda’s magical abilities could make Timmy Turner one of the most dynamic characters in the wholeNASB2roster, it would just be a matter of how far Ludosity wants to go with the pink-clad 10-year-old. If a comparison were to be made to another platform-fighter character, Timmy Turner could work a lot like Ness or Lucas inSuper Smash Bros. From aerial abilities to projectiles, Timmy Turner could use his fairies' magic to be a formidable member ofNASB2’s roster.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2is shaping up to be a significant improvementon the first game. While it likely won’t reach the same heights as a game likeSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate, it has a chance to be a fun, accessible introduction to the platform fighting genre. It’s entirely possible that Timmy Turner will be added somewhere down the line, but at the moment the beloved character’s absence feels like a mistake in dire need of correcting. He may be an average kid that no one understands, but to many Nickelodeon fans around the world, Timmy Turner is a very necessary addition toNickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2is currently in development for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
