The hero is joined by a sentient tome on his quest to collect Sealed Verses and combat a curse known as the Black Scrawl. ThroughoutNieR Replicant, players will collect special Words that can be applied to weapons, magic, and martial arts to enhance their effects. To put Words to use, a player must navigate to the Grimoire Weiss menu and the Word Edit tab. Every weapon, spell, and martial art has two Word slots. Power users may want to mix and match their Word loadouts themselves, but most of the time the “Equip best Words” option will more than suffice.
Hardcore fans will likely slay countless Shades and find many Words naturally on the quest tomake their character as powerful as possible. New Words are obtained randomly by defeating Shades.
