For the first time, the RTX 4070 has been listed on retailer websites with a $50 discount. Gigabyte and Zotac are the first to list their GPUs with the discounted price. Hopefully, other board partners will follow. The Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 WINDFORCE OC 12G is available for $550 on Amazon, Newegg, and other retailers. The Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Twin Edge OC is also available for $550 via Amazon.

It comes with higher core clock speeds compared to the Founders Edition and has a dual-fan cooling design. Both the Gigabyte and Zotac cards have the same core clock speeds, but the Gigabyte card comes with a triple fan cooler while the Zotac model uses a dual fan design. For comparison, the RTX 4060 Ti launched for $399 for the 8GB variant while the 16GB variant came in at a full $100 more. Zotac and PNY are offering the 16GB variant for $50 less, but most other brands are listed for over $500. Someone looking to buy the 16GB RTX 4060 Ti for over $500 should consider investing a bit more and going for the RTX 4070 instead. In terms of performance, the RTX 4070 offers significantly higher frame rates in games at 1080p and 1440p.
Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4060 Ti GAMING OC 16G
The Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is the latest offering by Gigabyte in the RTX 4060 series. It is the 16GB VRAM version of the 4060 Ti that was launched back in May. With double the VRAM, it can outperform the 8GB variant in memory-intensive games and productivity applications.
