The Desire To Rule The World

Rocks D. Xebec was considered to be the most dangerous pirate in the world. He gathered a ridiculously powerful crew, which includedthe likes of Whitebeard, Big Mom, Kaido, Shiki, etc. Considering Rocks' obnoxious personality, it would be plausible to assume his crewmates only stayed with him because of his power. When Kaido compared Luffy to other great pirates, who could beat him, Rocks was one of them. Kaido joined the Rocks Pirates when he was still very young, so he would have no need to fight his captain.

Xebec arguably employed a tyrannical routine, which included beating up his own crewmates. While it was definitely not the correct way to treat your crew members, it was certainly effective as they never left. With such a powerful crew at his disposal, Xebec only had one thing in mind, and that was to become the ruler of the entire world. He did not care how he managed to accomplish his goal, and the attack on God Valley seems to be just a step toward his final goal. In the recent chapter, Sabo confirmed that the Empty Throne was occupied by someone. It was already revealed in the Levely arc that the throne belonged to Imu, and they are the actualsovereign of the World Government. So, it is obvious that Xebec had his eyes set on the Empty Throne.

A Battle For The Ages

38 years prior to the current timeline, Rocks D. Xebec decided to attack the Celestial Dragons at the God Valley. While Xebec was extremely powerful, he was no fool. He had a tendency to investigate the secrets of the World Government. So, he wouldn’t have just attacked God Valley as a show of power. There could be another reason behind it. Since the name of the island was God Valley, it is plausible to assume that it held some kind of secretabout the World Government.

So, Xebec might have decided to go to God Valley to find out this secret, which could have possibly made him the King of the World. The God Valley could have paved the way for his dream. It could have been a weapon or an object that was prized is prized by the World Government. Unfortunately for Xebec, he was defeated by the alliance of Roger and Garp. After his defeat, the God Valley just vanished from existence. The disappearance of an entire island is ridiculous, but afterOne Piecechapter 1060, it doesn’t seem unbelievable.

Wiped From Existence

When Imu found out Sabo’s location, the former wasted absolutely no time in using a mysterious power to destroy the Lulusia Kingdom. Before destroyingthe Kingdom of Lulusia, Imuwas seen walking to a map and marking an “X”, and just a few seconds after that the kingdom was decimated. Imu also made it clear to the sensory division not to report any unusual activities, and just moments after that the Kingdom of Lulusia was wiped off the map. This is very similar to what happened to the God Valley.

The God Valley was erased from existence, and given the fact that it was an island, it seems very unlikely that it was hidden from the rest of the world. There is only one other case in the series where a huge piece of land was mysteriously displaced from its original position, and this particular incident involved the island of Jaya. A part of the island was shot up from the Knock Up Stream, but it doesn’t seem to be the case for God Valley. It seems more likely that the island was destroyed by Imu with the help of Uranus.

While this may be a stretch, Uranus is theonly Ancient Weaponwhose location is unknown, and no details pertaining to it have been disclosed. Considering the fact that Pluton and Poseidon are powerful enough to destroy several islands, it would only make sense for Uranus to be able to do the same.

Needless to say, Imu was the ruler of the world when the God Valley incident took place, and they probably felt threatened by Rocks D. Xebec, which is why they decided to destroy the God Valley with the help of Uranus. The annihilation of the God Valley helped the World Government to hide any information about Xebec. Another thing to note is that Sengoku specifically said the World Government wanted to hide the God Valley, which is a huge indicator that they had a part in the island’s mysterious disappearance. Since hiding the island would have been nigh impossible, Imu simply destroyed it and erased all evidence about Rocks D. Xebec as well.
