Meeting of Beast Lords

The episode begins with the champion Quagoa who defeated Ainz’s Death Knights, Yohz, in audience with the Quagoa leader Riyuro. He tells Riyuro of the “armoured golems” that attacked him and his forces. Riyuro, adorned in white fur with fiery orange tuffs around his mouth and brow, is somewhat surprised that his strongest soldier would come back in such a state; however, Yohz appeals to his ego by telling him that ifanyone is capable of laying waste to the threat, it is none other than Riyuro himself.

Riyuro then hatches a seemingly excellent plan: the Quagoa are to solicit the assistance of the Frost Dragons in Feo Berkana in order to lay waste to the Dwarves once and for all. They arrive at the Frost Dragons' lair, located in what used to be the Dwarven royal palace, with a huge sack of gold and state their intentions. However, the leader of the dragons, Olasid’arc Haylilyal, tells them that his assistance does not come cheap, and demands ten times the amount initially presented to him if he is to do anything to help.

Hejinmal Performs the Super Dogeza - Overlord IV Episode 7

Olasid’arc, the alpha dragon in Feo Berkana, speaks to his wives after the Quagoa have left. Despite soliciting a huge gold pile from the Quagoa, the dragon leader does not intend to personally attend to the matter. With suggestion from one of his wives, the dragon decides to send one of his sons, Hejinmal, to deal with it. Hejinmal’s mother claims that of all the dragons in the nest, Hejinmal is the one most capable of assessing the enemy’s combat potential. The young dragon isintroduced as a shut-in, surrounded by heaps of books and sporting a comical pair of reading glasses. Clearly, this is the dragon responsible for keeping all kinds of knowledge, and as he soon admits, he has absolutely no combat prowess.

When he sights Shalltear and Aqua, he’s surprised to see a Dark Elf so young, but he is soon shocked into submission when Ainz steps into the frame. What Hejinmal doesn’t realize is that the Quagoa Clan Leader sent operatives to do reconnaissance and ensure that the service that they paid for is actually rendered. Ainz requests that Hejinmal take him to his leader, something that Olasid’arc does not appreciate at all. Ainz promises Hejinmal that he will, at the very least, spare his mother while he slaughters the rest of the dragons.

Yo' Mama

After a short exchange of insults, Ainz concludes that Olasid’arc will be made into an example, and casts Grasp Heart, a spell that does what it sounds like it does. After crushing the dragon leader’s heart, the old dragon keels over and dies instantly.

Ainz then turns his attention to the female dragons, asking Hejinmal which of them is his mother, to which all of them are quick to claim that title. Ainz sarcastically asks Hejinmal if he has a birth mother, a mother who incubated his egg, anda mother who raised him, to which Hejinmal agrees. Ainz tells them to fetch the remaining dragons in the nest so that they may be made aware of the change in leadership; however, a grumpy male dragon seeks to stand against Ainz. He is, of course, met with a swift end.

So You’ve Chosen Death?

Once the Frost Dragons are fully subjugated, Ainz turns his attention towards the Quagoa who still threaten Dwarven peace. The fated battle takes place in Feo Berkana, with the Clan Lord Riyuro making a personal appearance. With an army in the hundred thousands, Riyuro is confident, particularly because Shalltear and Aura are sent in to deal with it personally. Throughout this particular excursion, Ainz’s goal has been to nurture Shalltear’s growth and promote freer thinking in his most powerful Floor Guardian.

When Ainz speaks to Riyuro, he gives him an ultimatum: kill every last Quagoa until there are 4000 males, 4000 females and 2000 children remaining, or Ainz will have that done for him. The leader, realizing that he is unmatched, still tries to put up a fight, but afterseeing Shalltear continuously massacre scores of Quagoawithout breaking a sweat, he comes to know the fearsome might of the Sorcerer Kingdom. He sends his forces to meet their end, silently accepting defeat and sending his toughest soldiers to their demise to drive down the numbers to meet Ainz’s specifications. This, Riyuro understands, is the only way to save his people: allowing themselves to be subjugated by the Sorcerer Kingdom. After the fighting is over, Ainz compliments both Aura and Shalltear for their hard work throughout this trip, and Shalltear is driven to tears after being complimented by her lord for her growth.

A Toast

Once the threat is completely subdued, the departing runesmiths from the Dwarven Kingdom have one last feast before beginning their new lives. Ainz’s objective with this huge celebration is to show the Dwarves that their kin will be treated warmly and kindly in their new country. Due to Ainz’s intervention, the Dwarves are no longer faced with genocide, and their ancient cities have been taken back, not to mention that Ainz has managed to bring two new factions into his Sorcerer Kingdom: the Quagoa and the Frost Dragons.

With spirits high, the crew returns to Nazarick. Back home, Ainz initiates a conversation with Demiurge about the developments regarding the Slane Theocracy, but as usual, there is a bit of a disconnect between the two of them due toDemiurge’s reverence of the lich overlord.
