One creative fan ofOverwatch 2has designed and put together their own cute set of chibi-style sprays which feature the game’s latest support hero, Kiriko, with different expressions. Though Kiriko has only been around since the launch ofOverwatch 2just over a month ago, she seems to have quickly become a fan-favorite character.
Coming toOverwatch 2as one of three newly-added heroesalongside Sojourn and Junker Queen, Kiriko is a quirky and hilarious Japanese girl who wields her own Kitsune spirit, similarly to how Genji and Hanzo have their spirit dragons. Alongside Kiriko’s fun personality, the addition of her own cinematic short, which premiered earlier this year at TwitchCon, is likely what helped her win the favor of manyOverwatch 2players. Not only that, her versatile abilities, powerful Ultimate ability, and deadly kunai, which reward skillful aim, have made her a particularly popular pick among high-ranking players, as was evident in the recent Overwatch League season.

A user on Reddit going by the name lilyseala is the talented creator of the aforementioned Kiriko sprays. The post shares a collection ofcute designs featuring Kirikowith multiple different expressions, with many noticeably taking inspiration from certain Twitch emotes and popular memes. Though there are unfortunately no methods of acquiring these fan-made sprays in the game, the designs are available for purchase as pay-to-use emotes from the artist’s Etsy page.
Among the plethora ofnew additions to the world ofOverwatchwithOverwatch 2, the new shop page and seasonal battle pass system grant players access to a wide range of new skins, sprays, emotes, and many other cosmetics. Though each season offers a selection of cosmetic items for free, fans will need to purchase the premium battle pass if they want to get their hands on every available unlock. Each new hero to the game, Kiriko included, has launched with a bunch of new skins, sprays, and emotes exclusive to them, such as Kiriko’s cyberpunk-inspired Hinotori skin.
ThoughOverwatch 2has brought along a lot of new features that the community isn’t overly happy with, it’s safe to say that the accessibility and pricing of cosmetic items in the shop remain to be one of the biggest complaints from fans. Sinceloot boxes were removed withOverwatch 2, players have been left with very few opportunities to unlock new skins and cosmetics through gameplay, meaning that fans are forced to pay for many cosmetics both new and old through microtransactions.
