Summary

A talented artist withinOverwatch 2’s community has recently shared one of their own custom skin designs for the tank hero which makes Ramattra look just likeStar Wars' General Grievous. Though many ofOverwatch 2’s more recently-added heroes are still lacking in skins, Ramattra quickly became a fan-favorite hero design following his debut, and has gotten a fair few cosmetics throughout 2023 - even if most of them are exclusive to the shop or previous battle passes.

Overwatch 2is certainly no stranger to crossovers at this point, with plenty of the game’s heroes getting unique skins based on characters from other games and shows such asOne-Punch ManandCowboy Bebop. More crossovers are expected to be seen in the not-so-distant future too, and it’s safe to say that fans haven’t been afraid to speculate as to whatother franchisesOverwatch 2might collaborate withlater this year.

One somewhat popular suggestion of afranchise forOverwatch 2to crossover with isStar Wars, and one fan has recently shared their own skin concept for Ramattra featuring one ofStar Wars' most popular and recognizable characters. This excellent skin design for Ramattra was created and shared online by a fan named Dylan Piper, and shows Ramattra as General Grievous. The skin includes a few neat details adapted directly from Grievous' design, such as his cape and the four lightsabers attached to his hip. The artist also appropriately redesigned Ramattra’s Void Accelerator staff to make it bear resemblance to the staffs used by Grievous' IG-100 MagnaGuards.

How a Star Wars Crossover With Overwatch 2 Could be Perfect

While Grievous' four arms and lightsaber combat techniques realistically wouldn’t be transferable to a skin inOverwatch 2,robotic characters inOverwatch 2such as Bastion, Orisa, and Ramattra would be likely candidates to receive skins based on other designs seen in theStar Warsfranchise too, such as its many different droid types. Though it’s difficult to say whether aStar Warscollab inOverwatch 2is ever likely to come to fruition, the franchise does seem like a particularly compelling choice when it comes to crossovers.

Many fans have considered whichOverwatch 2heroes would be likely to getStar Warsskins. For example, Cassidy would be an ideal candidate to take on the role of Han Solo, but fans have also been excited at the prospect of Reaper becoming Darth Vader, Kiriko potentially becoming a character such as Leia, and Wrecking Ball taking on the appearance of either a Droideka or BB-8. While anOverwatch 2xStar Warscrossover is nothing more than a broadly-shared fantasy at the moment,Overwatch 2has recently shown off an unlikely collaboration with the Porsche brand, which has introduced new skins for D.Va and Pharah.
