Fans in the Pokemon community have always had fun creating alternative versions of Pokemon, be it designing a regional form or changing the monster’s original type, such asa Dark-Type version of Ambipom. With the introduction of Paradox inPokemon Scarlet and Violet, however, fans have gone into overdrive in coming up with innovative new creatures.
The user Capi974 has posted their interpretation of what Froslass could look like as a Paradox Pokemon fromPokemon Scarlet. The design takes on a slimmer form compared to the current Ice/Ghost type, with longer ears in place of the usual ice shards, a bird-like skull, and arms that resemble Hawlucha. When loading the designs to the r/Pokemon subreddit, Capi974 has confirmed they think the Paradox Froslass would suit an Ice/Flying typeset but has asked the community for suggestions on the name.
At the time of writing, the post has certainly gone down well with the community as it has accumulated 1,900 upvotes along with numerous ideas surrounding the name of the Paradox Froslass. A final name hasn’t been decided but in a show of appreciation for the work, comments under the post are trying to workshop ideas that fit the current naming conventions forParadox Pokemon. This means any suggestions have to adhere to being two words with a strict limit of 12 characters.
Froslass isn’t the only monster that has recently seen alternative versions. Some fans are using this spooky time of year as inspiration for their artistic interpretations. One fan has createdHalloween versions of Bulbasaur and Squirtle. Along with these creepy updates, the artist has also given the starter’s evolved forms a grotesque makeover, much to the delight of those in thePokemoncommunity.
With Paradox Froslass being added to the growing list ofPokemonfan art, gamers are left wondering what’s next for the series. The developers at Game Freak are currently finishing up the second part of DLC forPokemon Scarlet and Violet.The Indigo Disk DLC is set to feature every past starter Pokemonin the franchise when it releases on Nintendo Switch. The content is set to launch by the end of April 2024 and is set to include new Paradox Pokemon through tough new Terra Raids.
