During the final days of March,Pokemon GOfans can participate in the Lush Jungle event. Much like how the Festival of Colors focused on Oricorio,the Lush Jungle eventis designed to introduce a handful of other Alolan Pokemon, including a Legendary Pokemon. As is often the case withPokemon GOevents, the festivities aren’t solely focused on a new Legendary Pokemon. Fans can expect a modified list of Pokemon to appear in both the wild and raids for the duration of the event, and those who like Grass and Bug-types should be prepared to participate.

The Lush Jungle Event’s Pokemon Encounters
The Lush Jungle event is largely focused on the introduction of a couple Alolan Grass-type Pokemon, namely Fomantis and Lurantis. During the event,Pokemon GOfans will see Fomantis in the wild more often, as well as Metapod, Paras, Exeggcute, Ferroseed, Hoothoot, and Sudowoodo, with a rare chance of Pinsir and Cottonee encounters. Notably, the Lush Jungle event will add Shiny Cottonee, soPokemon GOfans ought to keep an eye outfor this Unovan Pokemonwhile looking for Fomantis.
Raids will also differ during the event. The event will offer players Timed Research based on exploration and Grass-types, and in exchange for completing Field Research, players can expect encounters with Caterpie, Exeggcute, Ferroseed, Sunkern, Wurmple, Seedot, Cottonee, and Fomantis. There’s a chance for Paras and Parasect encounters too.Pokemon GOfans should also note that the Lush Jungle event kicks offa new line of Special Researchthemed around Akala Island, much like recent Special Research quests themed around Melemele Island.
On March 26 and 27, Cottonee will appear more frequently in parks, so Shiny Pokemon collectors should try to search over that weekend. Aside from that spotlight, the rest of the Lush Jungle event lasts from March 22 at 10:00 a.m. to March 29 at 8:00 p.m. local time.
