InPokemon GO, players have the option of sending Gifts to anyone that’s on their in-game Friends list. The Gifts themselves are obtained from spinning PokeStops, or from Buddy Pokemon. Before sending one to a friend,GOplayers will see an option to add a Sticker to the postcard.
Stickers themselves don’t enhance the types of Gifts that are being sent over. However, they can be necessary for completing certain Special Research or Timed Research tasks. IfPokemon GOtrainers find they’re running low on Stickers, they can purchase more at the in-game shop. Given the rarity of PokeCoins, this investment may not be recommended nor for everyone.

How to Get & Use Stickers
Stickers are obtained from opening Gifts from Friends and Buddy Pokemon, or from spinning PokeStop discs. The type of Sticker is randomized, but sometimes trainers will receive an exclusive Sticker during an ongoing Event. Players can stackx25 of each Sticker. To use them, do the following:
- If players choose the wrong one, simply tapChange Stickerto swap it out.
Adding a Sticker to a Gift justgives the postcard some more color. As mentioned, however,Pokemon GOoccasionally has Timed Research Tasks where players need to send a certain amount of Gifts with Stickers. For example, they could have a Task that says “Send Gifts with Stickers to 9 Friends.” The reward for completing the Task will vary, but it’s required to do so if players are intent on reaping the rewards from every quest they get.
Is It Worth Buying Stickers?
Although Stickers can be collected for free,Pokemon GOplayers have the option of buying them with PokeCoins from the in-game Shop. Access this by selecting thePoke Ball icon, and thenShop. Scroll down, and there will be a category reserved forStickers.
The Stickers sold at the Shop will change depending on the season and events ofPokemon GO. Generally, there are 6 Seasonal Stickers and 6 Miscellaneous Stickers that can’t be earned from PokeStops. The Stickers are priced as the following:
Since the only way of getting PokeCoins inPokemon GOis by leaving a Pokemon at a Gym, it may not be worth spending Coins on Stickers. Furthermore, Stickers can, again, be collected from PokeStops and Gifts (from Friends or Buddy Pokemon). Although a bundle of x10 is only 35 PokeCoins, it’s still better to save Coins forexpanding Storageorbuying Poffins. Pokemon can earn up tox50 PokeCoins a day, so it can take a while to farm enough money just to make room. In other words, there are better features worth buying over Stickers.
