Now, The Pokemon Company has announced a giveaway of an Electric-Type Mimikyu forPokemon Scarlet and Violet, which will be distributed via codes given by GameStop. This is part of a Halloween celebration promoted by the companies, which will be happening until October, and will give out this unique creature via Mystery Gift. Only players who are based in Canada and the United States can participate in the giveaway, and it’s not 100% clear what the rules of the promotion are yet, or what possible limitations on using the code there may be. So,Pokemonfans should wait for more information soon.
This is not the only time that Mimikyu will be featured during this Halloween, though. The creature will also be the star of the upcoming special Halloween-themedPokemoncards. These new cards are part of the Halloween Jazwares calendar box, which will also have miniatures of the little Pikachu-like ghost.
Mimikyu originally appeared in the seventh generation and is a Ghost/Fairy-type Pokemon that can normally be captured inPokemon Scarlet and Violetin both its normal and Tera-type forms. However, the onlyTera Mimikyu available inScarlet and Violetright now is a Fairy-type version that can be found in North Province Area Two, so this Electric version will be exclusive.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violetfans have a lot to be excited about right now besides this Halloween promotion. The upcomingThe Teal MaskDLC, which will be the first of two expansions, will be released soon.The Teal Maskwill bring several new optionsfor players, including new TMs, and more customization. New TMs will include Burning Jealousy, Grassy Glide, Lash Out, Poltergeist, and Toxic, which will give gamers more options when fighting.
