The Pokemon Company just introduced a never-before-seen move into thePokemonuniverse. It’s called “Jungle Healing,” and it’s the signature move of Zarude, the latest Mythical Pokemon introduced withPokemon SwordandShield.
Zarude is a Dark- andGrass-typemonkey Pokemon with the ability to sprout vines from its neck, wrists, and soles. These vines have healing properties that allow them to mend any wound that they wrap around. Jungle Healing is a Grass-type move that plays off of these traits and showcases them at their most potent potential.

Zarude will learn Jungle Healing when trainers push it to level 90. And as the name implies, it’ll heal Zarude when activated, but for how much wasn’t specified. The standard 50 percent seems likely though since Zarude is aMythical Pokemon. Otherwise, it’ll probably be around 25 percent like the move Life Dew. There’s also no information on how many PP the technique has.
When using the move, Zarude lashes out its vines and wraps them around nearby trees to absorb their energy. It then combines this energy with its own before releasing it out into the world as a shimmering green dome with healing properties.
This dome spreads out beyond Zarude, too, makingJungle Healingan AOE technique, meaning when Zarude unleashes it in double and triple battles, it will not only heal him but all of his allies as well. The inspiration behind this comes from the fact that Zarude is a pack creature, a loyal one that will viciously attack anyone not associated with it and its members.
What puts Zarude’s Jungle Healing over the top, however, is its ability to cure status effects. So not only will the move healZarudeand its allies, but it will also relieve them of any status ailments they happen to be suffering at the time. This trait makes it the only healing move that’s not a Z-move or G-Finale that also cures status conditions. It’s also the only healing move that doesn’t require the user faint to both heal allies and remove their status conditions.
While Jungle Healing will only belong to Zarude inPokemonSwordandShield, The Pokemon Company did state the possibility of other Pokemon being able to use the move in future games. Celebi may be one such candidate since it releases with Zarude in aMystery Gift event, and it’s also a Grass-type.
