Pokemon Unitedeveloper TiMi Studios has announced that Mamoswine will be added to the MOBA’s ever-expanding roster of Pokemon in the game’s next update. It will also include at least one bug fix, and there might be some small balance tweaks as well.

Mamoswine was announced as coming to the multiplayer title in August, along with beloved Pokemon Sylveon. However, there has been no announcement as to when the Fairy-type Eevee evolution will be added. Adding characters to any MOBA can change team lineups and alter meta strategies, making Mamoswine’s arrival a big deal for anyPokemon Uniteplayer.

Mamoswine will be added toPokemon Unitethis Wednesday, September 29. As with every new addition to the multiplayer title, Mamoswine is not a freePokemon UniteLicense, and will have to be purchased from the Unite Battle Committee in-game store. Licenses cost between 6,000-10,000 Aeos Coins or 345-575 Aeos Gems. However, like previous new Pokemon, Mamoswine will most likely be included in the weekly rotation of Licenses that players can try out in Standard and Quick matches.

The officialPokemon UniteTwitter account also revealed that the Crustle Unite Move glitch will be fixed with the Mamoswine update, but have given no indication if the newLucario bug seriously affecting Ranked matcheswill be addressed. Most updates come with slight balance changes, so while it is likely to have one this Wednesday, the game just recently received a big balance in its last update less than a week ago. No massive changes are likely to occur, but the introduction of Mamsowine could alter established tactics in a big way.

It’s exciting to see another character, but a lot of players were hoping that Sylveon would be added before Mamoswine. As an Eevee evolution, theFairy-type Pokemonis a lot more popular than Mamoswine. Hopefully the developers don’t keep people waiting as long as Blastoise fans had to. The popular Gen 1 starter was announced as additional content beforePokemon Unitereleased in July, but wasn’t added until September.

It’s the move-set that draws mostUniteplayers to a character however, so as long as Mamoswine proves to be a solid member of any Unite team, or plays in a particularly interesting way, its popularity withPokemonfansmight actually increase.

Pokemon Uniteis available now on Mobile and Switch.
