Indie gameSpiritfarerhas earned widespread critical acclaim since its launch for its relaxing gameplay mechanics and emotional story. The developers at Thunder Lotus have expanded on the initialSpiritfarerexperience with new content updates, with the latest surprise-launched across all platforms. NowSpiritfarerplayers can jump back in and check out some brand new content, courtesy of the recently released Beverly update.
The headlining new addition with theSpiritfarerBeverly update is the addition of the titular Beverly herself. Beverly was Stella’s neighbor in the living world, and she takes the form of an owl inSpiritfarer. Players will encounter this newSpiritfarerspiritwhen they visit Oxbury after downloading the update, and will then be able to enjoy a brand new storyline. Along the way, they can check some of the new features added toSpiritfareras part of the update as well.

Spiritfarer’s save system has been expanded so players can utilize three distinct save slots. Players can now also build a new station called the Archive room, which allows them to check out old documents that they’ve collected on their travels, including treasure maps. Players can also collect Buck’s Looter’s Literary reviews, which are magainzes that include new quests for teasure seekers. A radio has been added to the Lounge area, and a suite of new spicy foods have been added to the cooking options.
Upon downloading the latestSpiritfarerupdate, fans can gather ingredients and make new foods like Laksa, Milquetoast, Flamin' Firebirdz, Aloo Gobi, Chai Latte, Chilaquiles, and Dakgangjeong. Anyone that’s managed tofully completeSpiritfarerwill now have a lot more to do after downloading the Beverly update, especially if they haven’t visited the game since before thefree Lily updatecame out.
The developers at Thunder Lotus have also implemented a number of quality of life improvements inSpiritfarerwith the Beverly update. Players can utilize the Safe Travel feature to skipSpiritfarerevents, sleep faster, select three destinations for travels, and more. These improvements should definitely be well-received by fans of the game, though it’s worth pointing out that there are even moreSpiritfarerupdates on the horizon.
TheSpiritfarerJackie & Daria updateis going to be one of the most substantial yet, adding two new spirits to the game, a new island, new buildings, new resources, and a new event. For now, though,Spiritfarerfans can check out everything that was added with the Beverly update.
