Potion Permitoffers its players a wide range of activities to participate in around town, and a myriad of methods for acquiring useful items and ingredients. One such method is fishing, so this guide will explain the basics of fishing in Moonbury.
Potion Permitis a casual action-adventure game developed by MassHive Media and published by PQube. Arriving in the town of Moonbury as a Chemist from the city, the player is initially tasked with curing the Mayor’s daughter of her illness. After their initial success the Mayor requests they stay on as the town chemist for the foreseeable future, and the game begins in earnest.

Unlocking Fishing
In order to gain access to fishing playerswill first need to complete the initial taskof healing the Mayor’s daughter. This can be accomplished by following the instructions the game gives. After this is done the player will have a good reputation in Moonbury, allowing them to interact with the townsfolk and trigger events. This makes it possible to gain access to many more of the game’s systems, including tool and building upgrades and, of course, fishing.
In order to unlock fishing, players need to head to the Primrose Sail in the northwest of the map. On arriving an event should trigger where Leano and Ottmar appear, and Leano gives the player some bait and a fishing rod as a gift.
How to Fish
to go fishing in Moonbury players will need to locate a fishing spot. These are marked on the map with a fish icon and a number. The number indicates the level of the fishing spot, with higher level fishing spots requiring better equipment to use.
Bait can be bought from the Primrose Sail, so it’s not too difficult to acquire more once the initial supply runs out. Approach the fishing spot and hit the interact button to begin fishing. The player will prepare to cast a line, with a bar appearing to show the power of the cast. the bar will automatically increase and decrease over time, and pressing the interact button will complete the cast. Once the line is cast it can be reeled in using the button indicated. Fish shadows can be seen in the water and, when one takes the bait players need only hit the reel button to hook it.
Once a fish is on the line players must reel the fish in carefully, making sure to not reel when the angry emoticon appears above the fish, and reeling consistently when the exhausted emoticon appears above the fish. Reeling while the fish is angry will cause the line to snap and waste the bait, but keep calm and reel when possible to get the fish to shore and snag it.
