Kidnapped and transported to an island, Ashley cannot survive much longer without Leon’s assistance. To save her, Leon must break through the fortress-like defenses of the Island facility and face fearsome new creatures in this section of theResident Evil 4remake.
This guide will walk players through the events ofChapter 13ofResident Evil 4, providing details on locations from the Wharf to the creature breeding laboratories.

Wharf
Opening up on a cliffside, scale the ledges to come upon the factory. Head right and through the cave, where Leon will find a turret. Walk around it, avoiding the red light. At the end of this tunnel and to the left are a typewriter anda Merchant stall. From the Merchant, turn around and take the first right, walking through a passageway that accesses the rear of the prior turret.Deactivate it and press forward.
Vaulting over the window ahead, try to avoid being spotted by enemies. Getting caught will set off an alarm, signalinga Boarhead Ganadowith a Gatling gun to attack. Through the window, take out the enemies and climb the ladder,moving the turret at the top. Since weapons don’t actually break stealth, use a rifle or explosive bolt to instantly kill the Archer guarding the blue gate. When it’s clear, and the Ganados have returned to their patrol path, drop down and cross to the other side.
Vaulting through another window, wait for the Ganado with the cattle prod to turn away and take him out. Next, sneak around to the left and climb a ladder, killing the Archer on the roof.
Drop down and kill yet another Ganado on the cliffside,deactivating the turret ahead. Backtrack to where Leon deactivated the first turret up the ladder and run up the stairs to the door.
Fighting the Boarhead Ganado, before he can attack, he must charge his weapon. During this time, shoot him withLeon’s strongest weaponsto keep him from inflicting damage. To keep from getting swarmed, players can alsolead these Ganados into turretsthat will shred their health. With the enemies cleared out, reposition the turrets and enter the double doors.
Along this path are three Plaga Guadaña, so keep watch for reanimated bodies and parry their lethal attacks if they get too close. Head up the ladder in the cave and kill the archer overlooking the Wharf. Heading around the building to the right up ahead will be an encounter withanRE4rocket launcher. Take cover behind the cinder blocks andkill the RPG user with a long-range weapon. Some Ganados here will be wearing helmets or using shields, so start parrying attacks and limb and body shots accordingly.
Continue uphill, shooting the explosive barrel to clear out any remaining enemies, and enter the double doors at the top. Continue down into a cave; back outside will be a huge warehouse. Go left and take the stairs up,disarming a tripwire before entering.
Surveillance
The Surveillance room contains a typewriter and a door Leon can’t yet open. Climb the stairs on the right of the room and find somepatrolling Ganadosand a tripwire. Taking them out, walk into the well-lit office, andinteract with the console there.
Back downstairs, go through the previously locked door to find Ashley in a cell. Dropping down from the floor above into a Storage room patrolled bya Cowhead Ganado and cattle prod Ganado. Kill them and climb the ladder, entering the room at the top.

Utilities
Inside this rather compact space are a number ofLas Plagasvictims that Leon must cut through to progress. Taking the corridor around, enter the room under the red light, passing through a kitchen and through some more hallways until a flaming Ganado bursts from an incinerator to attack.
To the left is a save room, beyond which is another hallway. Continue forward andtake a right at the end of the corridorinto the pitch-black Dissection room, where Leon will encounter a terrifying new kind of creature.
In the Dissection room, head right then left into a small utility room. Read the note on the table to find out how to access Ashley’s cell andpull the Power Control Lever in the room.
Walk outside and pull another lever to raise the shutter ahead, then head back toward Dissection.
In this room, activate the console to restore power to the door.Pick up the Level 1 Keycard from the corner of the roomand exit. At this point,the horrifying Regeneradorwill attack. Without a Bionsensor Scope, Leon has no chance of killing this creature. For now, parry its attacks and run.
Before Leon can head to Freezer, head back to the utility room and switch the power overusing the Control Lever. From here, head to Freezer, running through the open shutter and taking a right at the end, then heading left and using the Level 1 Keycard on the pad beside the door.
In Freezer, interact with the console in the room’s rear and insert the keycard to begin the upgrade. At this point,another Regeneradorwill drop from one of the body bags. Continue to dodge and parry its attacks untilthe console beeps and Leon can retrieve the Level 2 Keycard.
Leave Freezer now and take a right at the intersection, continuing down the hallway andusing the keycard on the leftmost door to Systems. In here, kill the three Ganados at the bottom of the stairs. Go through the door at the bottom to enter the Incubation Lab.
Through another door to the right, enter a room containing four large Regenerador incubation pods. Pass through the door at the rear of the room andpick up the Biosensor Scopefrom a case andequip it on a powerful weapon.
to progress, Leon must find the Regenerador that consumed the Wrench. As such, with the Biosensor Scope equipped, find the correct creature and start shooting at it in the tank,aiming exclusively for its parasitic organswitha penetrative weapon. With the Regenerador down, retrieve the wrench and return to the room where Leon found the Scope. For the upcoming fight, it may help to clear out the other Regeneradors, too.
Use the wrench on the Overwrite Terminal and insert the Level 2 Keycard. Promptly, agroup of Ganadoswill attack the Incubator Room. Once they’re down, retrieve the Level 3 Keycard and use it on the gate to the right of the exit.
Back in the Storage room,open Ashley’s cell with the keycardto trigger a cutscene and end the chapter.
