Rogue Company’s Lead Designer Scott Lussier took to Twitter to discuss the issue. The developer has been listening to players' concerns, and Lussier said that the company will be working on a penalty system to punish players who leave in the middle of the multiplayer game. According to the developer, players who time out of the game will have to wait a certain amount of time before they are allowed to queue up for another match. After the first offense, players will have to wait 10 minutes before trying to get into another match, but the time will increase the more the player leaves matches. After leaving four games, the player will have to wait for a full 24 hours before they can queue up in anotherRogue Companymodeagain.
TheRogue Companyrepresentative said that he is morally against players who quit on the game and their teammates. Lussier says that this new system will be implemented during the next update, though players are not sure when this will be, and will be monitored closely to keep track of its effectiveness. However, he says that the company is working “as fast as humanily possible” to get this into the game, so hopefully fans will be seeing this system soon in thecrossplay game.
With this problem being so quickly addressed by the developers, it seems the players' issue is in good hands. The shooting game is still in the beta testing phase, but with manyRogue Companycharactersand modes still coming out, there will be a lot more for fans of the game to look forward to in the future.
