Part of what makesThe Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrimsuch an alluring experience for a number of players is the overworld. Part of what makes the world ofSkyrimso effective is its ability to keep the player on their toes and give off the feeling of a world that exists outside the actions of the player. However, in the case of one player, the essence of randomness thatSkyrimis known for was met with a hilarious result.

Despite the serious tone the game possesses, a lot of silly moments can occur within the confines of the game. Even without the cacophony ofSkyrimmodscurrently in circulation, a lot of wacky and unexpected things tend to happen during active gameplay. Although, one player encountered a rather unusual sight outside of their in-game residence.

A Reddit user by the name of AbbreviationsMajor49 discovered the corpse of a dead ancient dragon outside of the home made using theHearthfireDLC. According to the user, the dragon has been in front of the house for over forty hours and has yet to despawn. The idea of having an the body of an ancient dragon laying on someone’s front lawn is fairly ridiculous, even bySkyrimstandards.

Oftentimes, monsters like giants or wolves will randomly spawn outside of players’Hearthfirehomes and attack them. Though, upon defeat, the bodies of the enemies will despawn shortly after. Therefore, the fact that aSkyrimdragonnot only appeared outside of a player’s house, but didn’t despawn upon defeat is quite an unusual, but hilarious, sight.

In any case, it’s amazing to see how much popularitySkyrimstill possesses, even after releasing nearly ten years ago. It goes to show just how expansive and ambitious a gameSkyrimultimately is, especially considering fans are still discovering secrets almost a decade after. Not too long ago, one player discovered aPac-ManEaster egg inSkyrimthat no one else had seen before.

It will be interesting to see ifThe Elder Scrolls 6manages to live up to the legacy thatSkyrimhas cultivated over the last several years. Any game released ten years ago that still has players actively playing to this day can have the potential to outshine any new installment. Then again, not much by way of new information has been revealed in terms ofThe Elder Scrolls 6. Only time will tell if Bethesda manages to one-up itself with the upcomingElder Scrollsinstallment.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrimis available now on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
