Although Ritter’sSonic the Hedgehog 3role remains unverified, a new rumor from insiderDaniel Richtmanclaims she will portray a human character named Captain Rockwell. Not much is known about the role, but several fans have suggested Rockwell will bea GUN (Guardian Units of Nations) operative, potentially leading an international military defense team. However, Richtman’s rumor also conflicts with previous speculation fromIGNthat Ritter would voice the animated fan-favorite jewel thief Rouge the Bat rather than a live-action character and was met with mixed responses from fans.

It’s also possible the Shadow casting announcement will name a different actor altogether. Given that several early casting rumors will likely be debunked, it’s best to take all speculation with a grain of salt until official announcements are made.
