March 2024 sawSpider-Man 2’s long-awaited New Game Plus update, but it did little to quell the issue as it introduced four suits, none of which were from the previous game. However, Insomniac has confirmed that a new update forSpider-Man 2will release on June 18, and to the delight of many fans, bring back numerous legacy suits fromSpider-Man (2018)andSpider-Man: Miles Morales. Specifically, the update will add the Last Stand andInto the Spider-Versesuits for Peter Parker, and the Uptown Pride and Animated suits for Miles Morales.
New Spider-Man 2 Suits Coming in June 2024
In addition to the four legacy suits, Insomniac will also include the previously-announcedcelebrity collaboration suits inMarvel’s Spider-Man 2, namely the Metro and Ginga suits for Miles, and the Fluro and Motorchic suits for Peter. The update also brings bug fixes and addresses some player feedback, like the ability to swap parry and traversal abilities between the Symbiote and the Spider Arms. The legacy suits have also been updated with new colorways, and theInto the Spider-Versesuit for Peter retains the Film Style Animation toggle, which gives it the distinct animation style of theSpider-Versemovies. While this update will surely be welcomed by fans clamoring for the old suits to return, the wait forSpider-Man 2’s story DLC continues. Insomniac set up a Carnage storyline in the base game, and the infamous November 2023 leak revealed that a Beetle DLC was also planned for the game, although plans could have changed since. For now, the studio seems intent on incorporating player feedback forSpider-Man 2and appeasing fans as much as possible.
