Star Wars Jedi: Survivorhas beena massive hit among fanswith a lot of the praise coming through the new features added and of course the surprise cameos. But there is a hole left for the fans: many characters missed their chance to appear in the game.
Several big name players who were active around this time in the galaxy could have encountered Cal Kestis on his journeys, but they are absent. From foes to encounter to fellow Jedi to teach him a few tricks, it would have been amazing to encounter some of these names inStar Wars: Jedi: Survivor.
10Yoda
As fans are aware, Yoda survived Order 66and retreated to Dagobah. There, he lived in exile with seemingly no other contact until Luke Skywalker goes to him for training inThe Empire Strikes Back.

It’s reasonable to surmise that another Jedi could have visited Yoda in his exile to continue their training in the quest to defeat the Empire. One such Jedi could have easily been Cal. Dagaboah’s swamp terrain would offer a great platform for Cal’s climbing and parkour, rewarding Cal with some great training in the force from one of the best to ever do it.
9Ahsoka Tano
Another Jedi, although she left the order before Order 66, who was active during the period the games are set was fan favorite Ahsoka Tano. Thanks to her appearance inRebelsandThe Mandalorian,fans know that she was alive and well right up until the fall of the Empire.

Ahsoka would have been an amazing character to appear inJedi: Survivor.She could have teamed up with Cal in a low-key mission, teaching him a thing or two along the way. The dual-wielding Togruta could have made an impact using the new team-up feature in the game both making use of their two lightsabers.
8Obi-Wan Kenobi
The one that fans were crying out for was the inclusion of Obi-Wan Kenobi (or Ben Kenobi, as he was then known). Asshown in his own Disney+ series, he didn’t just lie around and wait for Luke to grow up. He went off on his adventures and was more active in the fight against the Empire than fans realized.
Cal’s adventures could have taken him to Tatooine, and after getting himself into a sticky situation, he could have been saved by Kenobi in a callback toA New Hope. A cameo would have served Kenobi well, adding to the lore of the franchise and also offering some great fan service.
7Quinlan Vos
As revealed inKenobi, Quinlan Vos survived the Jedi purge and was a key player in The Hidden Path, a safe passage from the Empire for Jedi and force sensitives.

The Hidden Path is of course a plot point in the latest video game, yet there is no mention of Vos, it would have made for a rewarding cameo if the reclusive Jedi made an appearance. It seems to be a missed opportunity, and it would have continued Vos' story that fans crave.
6Darth Maul
This fan favorite still hasn’t quite got his moment in the sun. Underused inThe Phantom Menace, Maul was revived inThe Clone Warsand became the big bad that he deserved.
His cameo inSolo: A Star Wars Storyappears to have gone nowhere, so this story could have been continued in these games. Maul was the leader of the Crimson Dawn, a crime syndicate. This organization should have served as the villain in the story, with Maul being a boss battle. Even if he wasn’t a big part of the storyan appearance of Maul would have just been enough, perhapsStar Warscreators are waiting to use him for something bigger.
5Starkiller
In many ways, Starkiller is the original Cal Kestis. He was the main face of a Star Wars game that fans adored:Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.However, this title and its sequels were removed from canon when Disney took the reins, leaving Starkiller as a Legends character.

However, there is no reason that Starkiller could not have still been a secret apprentice of Darth Vader. After all, of what Vader did in between Episodes 3 and 4 is a mystery. A game would have been a beautiful return for the character, offering him the chance for a live-action appearance. Starkiller and Cal would have clashed heads in the game as part of Vader’s army of Inquisitors.
4Captain Rex
The opening ofJedi: Survivorreveals that Cal was working with Saw Gerrera as part of the rebellion. And who else was workingwith the rebellion during this time? Captain Rex.
The former 501st Captain and Commander removed his inhibitor chip, rendering him unaffected by Order 66. Therefore, he remained an ally of the Jedi. Rex and Cal could have worked together during the events of the game. As Battle Droids are regular opponents, it would have been amazing for Rex to once again battle his old foe the Clankers.
3Emperor Palpatine
The main villain of theStar Warsstory, Sheev Palpatine, or the Emperor as he was known, is the head of the Empire. During this time, the Empire was controlling the galaxy and its head of state should have made an appearance in this game.

It doesn’t make sense for him to be used as a boss for Cal, as he would have been too powerful. However, a cameo to remind fans who really is in charge was needed. The Empire appears to have taken a bit of a backseat inJedi: Survivor,but fans need to know that they are the real problem. The Emperor could have served as this reminder.
Bounty hunters are a regular foethroughout the planets exploredby Kestis as they try to claim the Jedi as their prize, but all of these bounty hunters are new characters. None are the famous faces that have been portrayed in other media.
There is no reason that Cad Bane could have been one of these bounty hunters. Of course, he would need to survive his encounter with Cal, as he appears inThe Book of Boba Fettset years later. Cad Bane was loved by fans, andClone Warswatchers would have been rewarded with this callback character.
1Han Solo
This game is set a year afterSolo: A Star Wars Story. Since its sequel is up in the air, the story of that movie could have been at least partially continued in this game. Solo and Chewie could encounter Cal on their adventures, perhaps in a small scene in a bar as a cameo.
If Han Solo is too much, then the Millennium Falcon should have definitely been included in this latest entry, a little teaser for the smuggler and his hairy friend.It is a wasted opportunity to expand the loreand close the gaps on where certain characters are at this point in the timeline.
