Summary
One craftyStarfieldplayer has recently taken online to show their little spaceship that can fit in a cargo compartment.Starfieldallows players to build any type of shipby combining some ship modules, including dockers, landing bays, and habs. In a giant universe filled with loads of planets, these vehicles are the only mode of transportation. They can be used to store resources and plunder enemy ships that wreak havoc in different star systems.
Every ship inStarfieldis composed of a set of modules that have their unique functions. For example, the cockpit is the section where players control their vehicles and use weapons against pirates. Habs, on the other hand, serve as a living space for passengers.Designing ships inStarfieldcan be a convoluted process early in the game, as players need a lot of credits to purchase all modules. They must first complete quests, sell extra ships in their fleet, build manufacturing outposts, and steal cargo to earn credits faster than usual. As players use more modules, the base cost of the ship will increase.

Reddit user ShamblingKorpse arranged a few parts into a functional ship, which is smaller than nearlyany other custom vehicle inStarfield. It appears that the player completed this challenge for fun because the ship’s small size has no effect on its mobility or maneuverability. They reduced the total mass to 183 by removing a landing gear and replacing some modules. One downside to this unique build is that its firepower, shield, and cargo space are much lower compared to any standard ship. On the Reddit thread, fellow players jokingly said it reminds them of a frog. Some also claimed that this vehicle could be a viable option for those who don’t want to steer massive ships.
Thebest ships inStarfieldare those that properly balance a lot of complex stats, including mobility, crew capacity, mass, shield, and hull. These stats change the overall performance of ships, and some of them can be increased by adding new modules. For example, weapons directly affect the damage output, while cargo holds create space for resources.
Players who don’t have enough credits can get free ships inStarfield, such as Star Eagle, Razorleaf, Wanderwell, and UC Prison Shuttle. Though they are not as powerful as many custom ships, players can use them to travel across different planets. These aesthetically pleasing ships are unlocked upon the completion of specific tasks.
Starfieldis available now on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
