Summary

Twitchstreamer xQc has revealed during a stream that he’s suing his common-law ex-wife Adept. Felix “xQc” Lengyel broke the news during a stream ofElden RingonTwitch, saying that he had gotten a text that said the lawsuit had been served.

xQc and Adept were largely thought to have been a streaming “power couple” and had allegedly been dating since 2021, despite Adept claiming in court that they had been in a common-law marriage since 2020. The two filed for divorce in November 2022 and the dissolution of their relationship has been as messy as it has been public. In a stream on June 04, 2025, xQc stated that their big legal battle was over, except for the matter ofwho owns the $300,000 McLarenthat is registered to Adept, despite being purchased by xQc.

Now it seems that xQc has filed not one, but three lawsuits against Adept stemming from a recorded phone call between the two she played during a stream. The call mostly features an argument between the two streamers over xQc allegedly donating 100 Twitch subs ($499 USD) to a female streamer that had interacted withxQc on aGrand Theft Auto 5roleplay server.

A day after the stream in which the call was leaked, May 22, xQc posted in Adept’s Twitch chat that the call was recorded five months ago. The legal details of the lawsuits haven’t been released, but if they’re predicated on Adept’s illegal or surreptitious recording of the conversation, the weight of this largely depends on where each party member was when the call took place.XQc announced he was moving last yearout of California, and has lived in a few different states in the US while also traveling frequently. The key to these suits may depend on where he was at the time of the call. California is a two-party consent state, which means that in most cases recording a conversation requires the consent of both parties. As of this writing, Adept has not responded to xQc’s lawsuit announcement.

Adept and xQc: The Drama Continues

The public falling out between xQc and Adept has dragged on for a few years now, with the couple breaking up and getting back together at least once before their divorce was filed. Adept has claimed that she’s been married to xQc for three years, xQc admitted to cheating on Adept with another female streamer, accusations have flown, and at one pointxQc had to stop his livestream because Adepthad unexpectedly shown up to his home, which led to a slightly-audible offscreen argument before the feed was stopped. The melodrama between these two Twitch titans has been highly-publicized, with xQc saying at one point that he wanted to stream his divorce proceedings live similar to the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial. Many thought that with the conclusion of this trial the matter would be put to bed, yet it seems there will be more chapters in this saga.
