The move saw Rocksteady thankKill the Justice Leagueplayersfor their patience, albeit without elaborating on the reasons behind the postponement. Nevertheless, some fans see the delay as substantiating the popular theory that the game has already been placed on life support and is currently only being supported by a skeleton crew.
That hypothesis has been circulating among the fandom ever since Rocksteady announced thatSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice LeagueSeason 1would be two months behind the game itself. Many players have also taken issue with the quality of Season 1, describing its content as lackluster, repetitive, and consequently further evidence that not many developers are still working on the game. But the company hasn’t yet pulled the plug on the game, with Rocksteady previously committing to delivering a year’s worth of content updates. That’s presumably because the publisher has already sold that content in advance as part of theSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice LeagueDeluxe Edition, which came with a Battle Pass Token guaranteeing access to the game’s first four seasons. As things stand right now, Season 4 may very well end up being the game’s final content drop.
