Tales of Ariseis one of 2021’s more highly-anticipated games. Along with learning today thatTales of Arisewill launch on September 10on Xbox Series X|S and PS5–along with the PS4, Xbox One, and PC–a brand new trailer has dropped for the Japanese action role-playing game.

Fans of the “Tales of” series have been waiting for news onTales of Arisefor quite some time, and today the floodgates have broken.Tales of Arisewas delayed last year, partially thanks to the difficulty of developing around the COVID-19 pandemic. But now Bandai Namco has shared details of the game, including an exciting trailer that showcases new gameplay and story information.

Courtesy of IGN, theTales of Arisetrailer shows off some incredible visuals, gameplay, story elements, characters, dialogue, and more. The trailer also is a reminder of thebalancing act of appealing to western and Japanese audiences thatTales of Ariseneeds to do. Bandai Namco is likely looking for the series to evolve and grow, much like Capcom did withMonster Hunter World, for example, andTales of Arisehas a wonderful opportunity to do so.

The trailer itself has been met with high praise from fans thus far, as the comment section is a combination of applause and awe, as well as relief to finally see that the game will be released in the near future. TheTales ofseries is one that many enjoy, andTales of Arisehas been on the wish list of fans for quite some time. The trailer appears to have built on the excitement for fans.

Tales of Arisewill be the seventeenth game in the mainline series, and it has the opportunity to be the highest selling. There is a lot of enthusiasm building up behind this game, and now that it will be releasing on multiple platforms, including on the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5,Tales of Arisecould perform very well.

The one console that is missing is the Nintendo Switch. Theoretically, the hybrid system could handle the game, asTales of Ariseis running on both new and old tech on the other consoles. Games in the series have made it on Nintendo consoles in the past. IfTales of Arisewere to release on the Switch as well, that would be another audience (around80 million Switch users) that would have the opportunity to play the game.
