TheElder Scrollscommunity is anxious and waiting for more news on the highly anticipated new entry to the franchise,The Elder Scrolls 6.While very little has been released outside a short announcement trailer. The trailer featured a sweeping shot of a mountain range, with some fans taking the geography as a clue to the game’s location. This has led players to believe the open-world fantasy role-playing game will be set inHigh Rock, home to the Breton race. The region is northwest of Tamriel and has a mountain range, although the territory’s geography is quite varied.
MostElder Scrollsplayers may be unaware that the region of High Rock has appeared in previous games, includingThe Elder Scrolls: Arena,The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall, andThe Elder Scrolls Travels: Shadowkey.Given that these games are well over two decades old, they are underplayed in recent years when compared toSkyrim.Players can take a peek at High Rock inThe Elder Scrolls: Online -Bethesda’s long-standing MMORPG - to get a sense of what a game set there is like.

Weapon Sets That Could Be Found In ES6’s High Rock
High Rock is actually split into five very different regions, similar to the geography of Skyrim. As with Skyrim, the region was inhabited by multiple groups but soon became ruled by the Breton, who currently dominate the area. Since the Breton are ancestors of both elves and humans, they have an affinity for magic while also being quick physiologically hardy. IfThe Elder Scrolls 6does take place on High Rock, it could have an abundance of both magical and martial weapons, as well as a myriad of enchantments to go with them.
Given that the Bretons have connections to both elven and human blood, they allow for combat that is incredibly varied. Some Bretons have become powerful sorcerers, while others have intermingled magical and martial combat to create a devastatingly powerful attack. InThe Elder Scrolls Online, the “Breton Style” is mostly weapons that are distinctively built for head-on combat, great swords, two-handed great-axes, and more. There also seems to be a focus on infusing weapons with arcane properties, especially those that increase maximum stamina and mana regeneration.
Armor Sets That Might Be Available In ES6’s High Rock
High Rock is very similar to Skyrim in terms of climate and geography, translating to armor sets that are closely aligned in style. What’s different is that themajor cities in High Rockare on the coastline or near water, as it is said to be modeled after the Mediterranean region of the world. When taking into consideration the historical ties, there is a chance that the armor sets in High Rock are modeled after the armor used by the Spanish, French, Italian, and other European powers that had settlements on the coast. This included heavy metal suits of armor, and also lighter armor made from lighter chain mail or padded leather and cloth.
Players could expect to see more metal armor sets, with the option of lighter armor sets made from padded leather. The armor sets seen inThe Elder Scrolls Onlinetake on these qualities, including multiple steel armor sets that reference knights and crusaders. The advances made with armor enchantment andcharacter customization inSkyrimgives an idea of whatThe Elder Scrolls 6could do to make these armor sets feel unique, especially when factoring in magical capabilities. It would be incredible to see a more balanced use of magic and combat among battle mage and spell knight-type classes, allowing for magic and heavy weapon combat to be used in tandem.
The Elder Scrolls 6is currently in development.
