Skyrimis a revolutionary game that set the standard for future RPGs since its release, and has inspired many new games in the process. At its heart,Skyrimis a game about dragons; this is prevalent even through its logo, which is shaped like a dragon. As Dragonborn, the player sets out to defeat other dragons and save the world from impending doom. The Elder Scrolls 6will release sometime in the next few years, but there is already a lot of buzz around the next title within the popular series. Fans begin to wonder if there is a chance forThe Elder Scrolls 6to have the powerful draconic armors and weapons.
The Elder Scrolls 6is likely not going to have any dragon fights, as that was a concept that was unique toSkyrim. While dragons have been mentioned in otherElder Scrollstitles,Skyrimwas the first to give players the chance to fight against the dragons and use its scales and bones to create the most powerful weapons and armor in the game. However, sinceThe Elder Scrolls 6is not set inSkyrim(where the dragon lore is ever-present) and will probably not have any dragon fights, means that the game will likely not feature any dragon armor.

No More Dragons
The Nords ofSkyrimhave long shared tales of dragons and dragon warriors, and these tales have made it to the far reaches of Tamriel. While the other provinces within Tamriel may have a different outlook on dragons, it is in Skyrim where dragons come from. Because of this, its is would make sense that there would not be any dragons in anyElder Scrollstitle that is not set in Skyrim. While this does not remove the possibility of players being able to find dragon weapons or armor, it does preventThe Elder Scrolls 6from letting playersmake their own dragon armor and weapons.
The Elder Scrolls 6will undoubtedly take focus away from dragonsand introduce a new set of creatures, characters, and villains. With this will come some never-before-seen weapons and armor sets, which could be a big improvement to those seen inSkyrim. ForThe Elder Scrolls 6to stand apart from its predecessors, it will need to put out new content from quests to weapons and armor sets. This does not rule out the possibility of dragon armor, which could show up as a unique armor set awarded to the player in the upcoming game.
Should Dragon Armor Feature in The Elder Scrolls 6?
Dragon armor was one of the best armorsets inSkyrimproviding players with the best armor that had the highest base stats. The armor set was also integral to the main plot ofSkyrim, as the Dragonborn could only craft these armors after harvesting the necessary parts from slain dragons. Since dragons were the focal point of the game, the armor set is closely tied to the game and the lore that exists withinSkyrim. However, players should still get to experience playing with dragon armor in the new lands ofThe Elder Scrolls 6.
As with most titles in the series,The Elder Scrolls 6will feature a lot of lore from every province of Tamriel and bring a lot of the weapons and armor from those regions as well. InSkyrim, players were able to play with armor sets unique to other provinces like the Redguard armor set, but these sets of armor were not always craftable. So, it stands to reason that dragon armor, the most lore-heavy set of armor inSkyrim, will feature inThe Elder Scrolls 6. It would make sense for the armor to return not as a craftable set of armor, but rather a unique set awarded to the players by completing a quest or defeating a boss.
Skyrimhas been an inspiration for numerous titlesfollowing its release back in November 2011, butThe Elder Scrolls 6will capitalize on that success and create a game that can once again revolutionize the RPG genre. While dragon armor is not going to be a craftable set of armor in the upcoming game, it can feature in the game as a means of connecting the lore ofSkyrimto that of the new game. However,The Elder Scrolls 6will need to create its own identity to be as successful asSkyrimwants, and this means that the best chance for fans to play with dragon armor in the next installment is through mods or the Creation Club.
The Elder Scrolls 6is currently in development for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
