The news ofThe Last of Us 2 Remastered’s lost levels came via thegame’s PlayStation Store page, which confirmed that players can “explore early-development versions of three new levels not seen in the originalThe Last of Us Part II: Sewers, Jackson Party and Boar Hunt.” The term “early-development” is interesting, as it suggests that the levels may not be entirely polished when the game is released. It remains to be seen if the levels will be forced into the story as originally intended, or if they’re simply optional extras. If they aren’t the finished versions, the latter seems to be the more likely option.
