Wakame Konbu’s comedy mangaThe Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysteriouswill be adapted into a television anime. The anime is set to debut on Asahi Broadcasting Corporation and TV Asahi’s network in July.
This manga follows Lilith, a maid who is hired to take care of a young boy named Yuuri. Yuuri is a paranoid ever-suspicious child, while Lilith is charming and mysterious. The series follows Yuuri’s constant suspicions of Lilith. Even though Lilith is beautiful andcooks amazingly, Yuuri still can’t quite put his finger on what makes her so mysterious. This does not stop Lilith from teasing him and being her usual mischievous self.

Gangan Jokermagazine, a product ofSquare Enix, first published the manga in January 2020. The series is published by Yen Press in English. The fifth volume of the series was released in February. Square Enix Manga & Books are set to release another of Konbu’s manga,The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!,in English. Yen Press is also going to publish Konbu’sBreasts Are My Favorite Things in the World!manga in English.
The official poster for the anime has been released. Additionally, the promotional teaser was broadcast by Asahi Broadcasting Corporation.
The voice actors for the anime have also been confirmed. Saori Hayami will play Yuuri. Her voice can be heard in other roles such as Mizuki inKotaro Lives Alone,Shinobu inDemon Slayer,and Yumeko inKakegurui.Lilith will be played by Rie Takahashi. Some of her notable works include Ferres inEstab-Life: Great Escape, Sana inGundam Breaker: Battlogueand Dan in the more recentBakuganprojects.
The team that will bring the manga to life will be spearheaded by the chief director Mirai Minato. Minato previously worked on the anime adaptation forThe Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!. Additionally, Minato is responsible for the script. The anime’s director will be Misuzu Hoshino and assisted by Yūshi Ibe, who were both episode directors ofThe Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!. The studio animating this story will be SILVER LINK and BLADE. Character design will be done by Machi Yoshino. Kōji Fujimoto and Osamu Sasaki will serve as musical composers for the anime, and they two have also worked onThe Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!.
