While the Demon Elder Emperors dominate the test of time after two thousand years of existence, their status does not automatically elevate them to top positions. Subsequently, although Medoin Garsa, Zorro Angart, and Eldora Zaia make very brief appearances in Season 1 ofMisfit of the Demon King Academy,they will remain on the sidelines so that anime fans can sidestep spoilers.
9Gaios Anzem: The Tank (Elder Demon Emperor)
Gaios and his buddy, Ydol, don’t receive much screen time in Season 1. However, as one of the Seven Elder Emperors created by the Demon King of Tyranny himself, they surely have a well of magical capabilities to draw from.
As an expert in demonic swordsmanship, Gaios skillfully wields theSupreme Demon Sword Grajetian(which shares physical similaritieswith Ichigo’s oversized Zanpakuto). With his brute strength and colossal blade, Gaios can cut through a mountain like butter. However, Grajetian yields gracefully to Anos after mere moments (although, according to the King, this is not an uncommon occurrence).
8Ydol Anzeo: The Dual-Wielder (Elder Demon Emperor)
Ydol is a prideful demon and not the most compassionate creature around. However, still takes the time to teach aspiring students at the Demon King Academy, and rallies to his fearless leader’s side as soon as Anos proves himself worthy.
He is a man of few words (unless they are insults), and the battlefield is where he shines, with his duel-wielding swordsmanship and no-nonsense attitude. Much like the Necron Twin’s Je Grade technique, Ydoleffectively combines fire and icewith his weaponry by simultaneously brandishing theDemon Swords of Fire ZethandIce Ides.
7Misha Necron: The “Inferior” Doll (Pureblood)
As an unnatural creation resulting from Dino Jixes, Misha spent most of her life rejected and herDemon Eyes of Creationwere left relatively neglected, never truly reaching their full potential. Regardless, Misha’s Creation magic is detailed and swift (taking three minutes to build an entire set of intricate and sturdy castles), making this “useless” Doll one the most vital support character on any team.

Even the almighty Anos tells Misha that her Creation skills will likely surpass his own one day, and she already has a good start. This shy sister’s magic level is over a thousand times greater than the average studentat Demon King Academy(100 246), while herLotus Ice Ringonly amplifies things further, granting the gorgeous girl an icy touch to her spellcasting.
6Sasha Necron: The Witch Of Destruction (Pureblood)
As the “original"sister, Sasha received all the perksof a Royal pureblood life, and, with her potentDemon Eyes of Destruction, Sasha has made quite a reputation for herself as the Top Dog. She does not, however, have complete control over her powers, which can become quite disruptive when her emotions are heightened.
As her moniker suggests, this Witch of Destruction focuses on her offensive skills and is a great admirer of Fire Magic, which makes thePhoenix Mantlea suitable fit for this feisty fighter. While trying to save her sister’s life, Sasha invents her own spells (ZexisandDelt), which are only ineffective due to Misha’s inability to comply with the conditions.
5Shin Reguria: The Demon King’s Right-Hand Man (Pureblood)
Back whenthe Demons and Humanswere still in full-blown war mode, Anos' army was led by the ultimate swordsman, Shin Reguria (aka Reglia), who has allegedly mastered every demon blade in existence, with a tally of aThousand Swords(hence the nickname).

Two thousand years ago, Shin possessed enough skill to take on both Spirits and Gods and showed no fear when battlingGreat Water Spirit Lignon, who was defeated simply to win a bet. Lay Glanzudlii’s techniques are so impressive that Anos finds himself believing that the transfer student is Shin’s reincarnation (however, the truth is even more surprising!)
4Lay Glanzudlii: The Demon Swordmaster (Hybrid)
This entry is a bit of a mind-bender because, although Lay (aka Ray Gransdori) is a demon, he is essentially the reincarnation of the celebratedHero, Kanon,and subsequently canwield both Demonic and Holy Weapons. His birth mother, Sheila, is also a Spirit-hybrid, diluting his “purity” even further. It’s amazing that this guy managed to snag his Royal status in the first place!
Although magic is not exactly his forte, Lay more than makes up for it with his impeccable swordsmanship and is arguably the only person to ever make Anos sweat during a duel. As aMaster of Source Magic, Lay also possesses seven distinctive Sources which assist with his extended longevity (similar to Horcruxes fromHarry Potter).
3Ivis Necron: The Fusion Magic Master (Elder Demon Emperor)
This feline-loving shapeshifting teacher arguably has the mostintimidating (Overlord-inspired) character designand appears to have a higher status than certain other Elders, suggesting that his magic levels are potentially greater than the average demonic Emperor.

The Necron family is known for its Fusion Magic expertise, with Ivis currently at the helm, who selflessly passes on his wisdom to future generations. The realm has Ivis to thank for the creation ofDino Jixes, which was meant to produce the ideal vessel for Anos' resurrection, but resulted in the existence of Misha, and essentially Aisha, too.
2Melheis Boran: The Portal Master (Elder Demon Emperor)
This powerhouse prefersthe form of an owl when shapeshiftingand was allegedly Anos Voldigoad’s ally all along. However, Melheis' mind games are finally revealed at the Magic Sword Tournament (although to be fair, the Sword of Subjugation takes all the blame). He appears to assume the role of de-facto leader of the Demon King Elders, a testament to his wisdom and strength.
Melheis is a big fan of usingBeno Ievunin a destructive manner, as a distorted Dimensional prison of sorts, while he hides away inAbsolute Space,seemingly untouchable and in complete control of all realms. He seems to favor theAzesithspell and defensive magic in particular. Nevertheless, his ability to do substantial damage is not lacking either.
Born from human parents, Anos Voldigoad went from infancy to adolescence within one month, possessing enough magic to completely shatter the power reading crystal during the Academy’s Entrance Exam. Having previously ruled over theInfernal Realm, Anos proves his worth by constantly dominating on the battlefield, no matter what gets thrown at him.
The Demon King’s powers are amplified by his incredible intelligence and perceptiveness, as Anos always seems to be two steps ahead, even with only a few seconds to strategize. HisDemon Eyesare unparalleled (on all levels), and Anos is the architect ofOrigin Magic, some of the most potent spellwork available. This Misfitis also a master time manipulatorand healer, even capable of mending incurable stigma wounds with ease.
