Unfortunately, the Switch version of the game remains at full price, which is understandable given that this version was just released last June. However, it appears that now is the perfect time for players on the PS4 and Xbox One to pick up the game not only because of its low price but also because Obsidian is set to release the game’s first DLC in a matter of weeks. In July, Obsidian Entertainment confirmedthe first expansion forThe Outer Worldscalled Peril of Gorgon.

As expected, the announcement ofthe Peril of Gorgon DLC also included a preview trailerthat was framed as if it was a preview for a cheesy B-movie. The expansion will have the crew of the Unreliable to travel to the Gorgon Asteroid in hopes of solving “the biggest mystery in the galaxy.” Players can expect all sorts of mayhem in the upcoming DLC expansion, which will introduce new characters to meet and new morally-challenging decisions to make.
Moreover, Obsidian Entertainment revealed that Peril of Gorgon will be packed full of new content and players can expect to spend between 6 to 8 hours on the new adventure. Additionally, the studio revealed that apart from new areas and storylines,Peril of Gorgon will also introduce a level cap increase by 3, which means that the new max level will now be 33.The Outer Worlds: Peril of Gorgonwill release on September 4 to all platforms and is available to purchase separately for $14.99 or as part of the season pass, which is currently available for $24.99.
