While players control basically all aspects of their Sims' lives, certain things occur naturally that aren’t as fun for your Sims. For example, if you have downloadedThe Sims 4: Get to WorkDLC, there’s a chance that Sims will get sick.
Sick Sims will experience many symptoms regardless of their illness, leaving them uncomfortable for some days. If Sims are too uncomfortable, they won’t be able to complete specific tasks, and any creations will be of low quality. This guide has everything Simmers need to know to keep their Sims healthy and cure sickness inThe Sims 4.
How to Cure Sickness in The Sims 4
The Sims 4: Get to Workincludes a feature that makes Sims occasionally sick. This occurs randomly, but if players haveSeasonsinstalled, it does happen more often in the rainy and cold seasons. Players will know their Sim has caught something if they get moodlets about dizziness, nausea, or hives.
While these symptoms won’t kill them, it is not a pleasant experience for them and can make getting work done difficult. Players have several options to help their Sims recover from any illness.
Take Medicine
The quickest way to cure sick Sims is to purchase and take medicine. Sims can catch multiple types of diseases, but they aretreated with the same medicine. Follow the steps below to get medicine:
Once bought, the medicine appears in the selected Sims inventory. Players can then click on the bottle to take it, which will relieve all sickness symptoms immediately. Sims should only take one dose at a time to avoid making themselves loopy.
Drink Tea or Orange Juice
Players can drink tea or orange juice to help with sickness symptoms. Unlike medicine, this method isn’t instantaneous, but it does shorten the amount of times thatSims has negative moodletsrelated to their illness.
Sims can drink orange juice by clicking on a fridge and selecting it from the quick meal menu. Tea, on the other hand, requires the Tea Magic Personal Brewer. Players can buy it from the Build/Buy mode. Brewing any tea will get the job done.
Take a Nap
Players can also cure sickness the old-fashioned way with some R&R. If players cannot buy medicine or make a healing beverage, they can click on any sofa or bed and have their Sim nap or sleep.
Sleeping won’t cure a sickness immediately but makes symptoms last less. Certain illnesses are harder to kick, but with enough rest, Sims willfeel in tip-top shapeagain in no time.
