The Witcheris reportedly back on track for production of its second season after Netflix’s hit fantasy series suffered yet another unforeseen delay when starHenry Cavill picked up a leg injuryright before the show went on a planned Christmas break.

Since then, fans ofThe Witcherhave had to do with small easter eggs and teasers shared by the series’ social media accounts which shine a brighter light on some elements from the show’s world, like the beasts that inhabit it, first look at pages from season two or even holiday-themed video edits and a bloopers reel. Aside from that, not much was said of when the show would resume work on its second season until now.

In a Twitter post made by Paul Bullion, who will play Lambert a fellow witcher to Geralt of Rivia, the actor reported being back on set filming for the show’s new season which will likely see Ciri and Geralt travel to Kaer Morhen for the young girl’s training. At the same time,Redanian Intelligenceclaims that Cavill has recovered from his hamstring injury and is now working onThe Witcheragain.

InThe Witcher’snovels and games, the character of Lambert is one of very few remaining witchers in the Continent having been raised in Kaer Morhen just like Geralt, though his general demeanor differs much from him, even being resentful towards everyone’s favorite witcher at times. Alongside Bullion, season two will see several other new additions to the cast,among themGame of Thrones’Kristofer Hivju who will play the role of Nivellen.

As for Cavill, after the incident suffered while shooting an action scene forThe Witcherhis injury ended up being a tad more serious than initially expected, keeping the actor from fulfilling his fitness routines until a little over a week ago. ThoughCavill surely used his time to catch upon his gaming, it’s not clear how much this will delayThe Witcher’sseason two.

Filming forThe Witcheris speculated to wrap up towards March, thus boosting rumors that season two could transform into a late-year arrival on Netflix after delays caused by the pandemic. For now, the law of destiny seems to favor the show moving forward.
