With the game securing tons of mainstream media attention, insane financial success, and even twogame of the year awards, it’s safe to say House House’sUntitled Goose Gamewas a landmark success on the indie scene. To add to its list of accomplishments, it was also recently announced that the acclaimed goose simulator will be getting a brand new series of physical editions on PlayStation 4 and Switch, with some fun goodies included inside to sweeten the deal.
Fans now know when this new edition of the game will be available, with House House announcing thatUntitled Goose Game’sphysical copieswill be hitting shelves on September 29. It seems, however, there’s a little bit more to the physical version of the game than first thought, with the game coming in both the standard edition and the “lovely edition,” only available on Iam8bit’s website.

The standard edition will be available through several major retailers and is shipping for $30 on PlayStation 4 and $35 on Nintendo Switch. It’s not just a physical copy of the game though. Inside its brand new box is a handful of fun extras, including a sticker, a large, colorful map ofUntitled Goose Game’scentral village, and an “actual plaza catalogue.” It seems fans will be getting some fun collectibles for choosing to support House House’s widely acclaimed indie hit. Iam8bit’s Lovely Edition will be slightly different, with the game sporting the environmentally friendly packaging first shown off during the Summer Game Fest’s recent Day of the Devs stream.
As for what exactly the new copy is made of, both the PlayStation 4 and Switch versions differ. According to the site, PlayStation buyers will have a case with “innovative Eco-Friendly Packaging - 100% Post-Consumer Material + 100% Recyclable + Non-Toxic Inks + Biolefin Shrink-Wrap,” which will sell for $34.99. Meanwhile, Switch owners' copy will boast “Innovative Eco-Friendly Elements - 100% Recyclable Pack-Ins + Biolefin Shrink-Wrap,” and clock in at a slightly more expensive $39.99.Untitled Goose Gameis the first in a new push from Iam8bit to introduce environmentally friendly game packaging into all of its products, so players who buy into it will be aiding one of gaming’s most interesting new movements.
Iam8bitis also releasing a brand new vinyl forUntitled Goose Gameon September 29 too which, much like its physical edition, will be entirely environmentally friendly. The vinyl itself is made up of “Reclaimed Vinyl Grind,” and the sleeve will be 100% recyclable as well. Overall, it seems there’s a lot of options for fans looking to get themselves a physical copy of their favorite goose simulator.
