Summary
OneCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3player discovers an easy way for solo players to easily complete the typically difficult Teir 3 contracts in the Zombies mode. While Zombies has been a staple mode in numerousCall of Dutygames, the fan favorite experience has seen plenty of big changes inside ofModern Warfare 3. One of the biggest tweaks from previous games is thatModern Warfare 3’s Zombies experience is open world, allowing players to explore and take on the undead within the biggest Zombies map in franchise history.
With a story and specific missions to follow, theZombies mode also introduces contractsthat can be taken on by players as they explore the open space. Similar to Warzone or DMZ, players can pick up contracts by locating their icon on the tac-map, and the different blue symbols indicate a different objective that needs to be completed, like defending a certain area, eliminating a bounty, or escorting a VIP to safety, among others. The catch here is that certain areas on the map offer more difficult contracts, though with premium rewards offered for a successful completion. To help solo players, one fan has put together a guide to easily complete some of the more difficult contracts.
The guide comes from the user known as The-Veteran-War, posting it on theCall of Duty ZombiessubReddit. The video guide covers every Tier 3 contract type like Outlast, Escort, and others, showing what solo players should do to provide an easier way to complete each one. Better yet, there isn’t any major setup or gear requirements as The-Veteran-War starts the video with a very simplistic build by opting for just their fists for weapons, as well as the rest of theCoDZombies loadoutbeing set to a decoy grenade tactical, throwing knife for the lethal, and a Tesla Storm field upgrade. From there, the video showcases the exact path to follow, to make the challenge more managable for those playing by themselves.
While The-Veteran-War admits the guide is a little rough, they make it known that it is possible for a player to pull off around 15+ Tier 3 contracts in a single game with a little practice. The comments on this thread have been extremely positive, though there is some worry that showcasing how powerful decoys and throwing knives can be in this setup could lead to some nerfs down the road. Others are hopeful that Sledgehammer uses the information to better balance the challenge presented with higher difficulty contracts inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s Zombies mode.
The tips should go a long way to helping solo players, but fans overall are looking foradditional improvements to the overall Zombies experience. One complaint from the fanbase is related to the timer, which forces players to leave the match in a similar way to DMZ. For many players, the timer currently feels too short, preventing many from reaching the high difficulty areas in time due to not gearing up fast enough. As such, many have voiced their opinions that perhaps a more casual playlist option could be added, similarly to how Plunder introduced a fresh take onWarzoneand a different way to play.
