APokemon Scarlet and Violetplayer has come across a bug that sees Mudbray randomly appear during Tera Raids. Though it has no direct impact on gameplay, the bug sees a Mudbray stand ominously in the middle of aPokemon Scarlet and VioletTera Raid despite having no clear reason to be present on the screen.
It quickly became apparent upon release thatPokemon Scarlet and Violetsuffer from major performance issues, with the games launching with an array of game-breaking bugs and frustrating moments of lag that saw some drop the game mere minutes in. Unfortunately, several key issues remain unsolved. Among these are a multitude of issues impacting Tera Raids, which make them feel clunky and frustrating to play.

In what is but the latest in a long list of bugs pertaining to Tera Raids, Reddit user thepaleaxe posted a clip of a Mudbray sprite standing motionless in the middle of a Tera Raid, despite none of the players taking on the raid having selected Mudbray and the boss being an entirely different species of Pokemon. The issue persists across several Tera Raids, though it can be fixed by a quick reset of the game. There have been several issues with sprites in the latest set ofPokemongames, includingGreat Tusk appearing whenever aPokemon Scarlet and Violetplayer enters buildings, and there seems to be a reason for them.Click here to see the full Reddit post.
When modelers create maps, they commonly place an item down to establish a central point and guide perspective for other level designers working on the environment. It seems Poke Balls were used for this purpose in the latest set of games, and that developers forgot to remove them from some instances before fully releasing the game. Thus, many players will notice Poke Ball sprites when they load into new areas, such as inside buildings and Tera Raids. Many players have also noticed that the type of Poke Ball used for mapping purposes seems to coincide with the type of Poke Ball their lead Pokemon was caught in, suggesting it also has something to do withPokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Auto Battle function. However, due to their small size, Poke Ball sprites are a lot less noticeable than the considerably rarer occasions upon which an entire Pokemon sprite somehow finds its way onto the screen.
WithPokemon Scarlet and Violet’s launch having been plagued by so many problematic bugs thatNintendo issued an apology, it is oddly charming to come across a bug that has no direct impact on gameplay and lets Mudbray get a little more involved in the latest set of games.
