Whispering Depths Location in Baldur’s Gate 3
To get to Whispering Depths, you need to head to theBlighted Village, which isfilled with goblins. There are two paths in this area, each of which you can use to reach your destination:
Keep in mind that both of these ways are in the Blighted Village, which is infested with goblins, so be ready to either kill them to clear the path or convince them to let you move freely around the village.
Whispering Depths Walkthrough
Inside Whispering Depths, you’ll need to head straight to the first left turn. Once there, you will enter a small area that doesn’t have any monsters but has items that will definitely come in handy as you make your way through the area. Check out theHeavy Chest, and you’ll findSpiderstep Boots, which will allow you tomove freely across surfaces with spider webs. In addition, you’ll findfour scrollsin theWicker Chest, and you’ll find plenty of gold and other goodies in the skeletons and old backpacks scattered around the area.
After you continue your journey through Whispering Depths, you will encounterPhase SpidersandEttercaps. They can teleport; that’s why we recommend that youprepare your partybefore heading into Whispering Depths bymaximizing your ranged damage. In addition, you will need the Spiderstep Boots you found a little earlier, and you can also make use of theMisty Stepscroll while fighting spiders to reach them.
After a few fierce fights with Phase Spiders and Ettercaps, you will enter the boss arena. There, you’ll face off againstthePhase Spider Matriarch, which is resistant to poison and can debuff the characters' eyesight, making their attacks weaker. When youdefeat the boss, you’ll find a direct path to The Underdark in this area. However, you’ll need to jump into a deep chasm to get there, so it’s best to have Feather Fall to avoid taking unnecessary damage.
