Microsoft’sXbox Game Passservice had a hugely successful year in 2021, hosting some of the year’s biggest and most critically-acclaimed games likeForza Horizon 5,Halo Infinite, andPsychonauts 2, among others. Microsoft is looking to keep the Xbox Game Pass momentum going strong going into the new year, as it’s already confirmed a whopping 31 games that will be coming to Game Pass in 2022.
Of course, there will be many more than 31 games added toXbox Game Passin 2022, but these are just the titles that have been announced so far. Not only that, but the 31 games announced for Xbox Game Pass in 2022 are all day one titles. Pure Xbox compiled a list of all the Xbox Game Pass games announced to be coming in 2022 so far, and assuming none get pushed back to 2023, next year should be even more massive for the subscription service.

Xbox Game Pass will get things started in January with at least three day one titles announced so far. First up isThe Anacrusison January 13, aLeft 4 Dead-inspired co-op shooter game where players explore a retro-style spaceship and fight hordes of deadly aliens. Then January 20 will see the debut of two more day one Xbox Game Pass games in the form of the quirkyPupperazziand the long-awaitedWindjammers 2.
Day One Xbox Game Pass Games for 2022
The vast majority of Xbox Game Pass games confirmed for 2022 so far don’t have solid release dates, with a few exceptions, like the new Xbox Game Pass games confirmed for January 2021.STALKER 2is currently scheduled to release on April 28, plus the promising indie gameWeird Westis pegged for a March 31 Game Pass debutafter it was delayed from its original January release date.
Other day one Xbox Game Pass games confirmed for 2022 have more vague release windows, like with Arkane’sRedfallexpected to drop at some point in the summer, andhorror gameScornaiming for a fitting October 2022 release date.
Most of Microsoft’s first-party games currently lack release dates, and so it’s possible they will be used to fill out the rest of 2022. One of the biggest ones on the horizon though isBethesda’s sci-fi open world RPGStarfield, which has a August 03, 2025 release date and will also be a day one Xbox Game Pass game. More information on the other 2022 Xbox Game Pass games will come to light in the months ahead.
